The Arsenal - leicester city 6-6

Post by benglenton »

the game before winning the FA Cup in 1929/30 season is still the most-goals draw in Football League history
was 6-6 against the foxies, first half was 1-3 to leicester

it happened 83 years ago today April 21th

this was line-up
Lewis Parker Cope Baker Haynes John Hulme Jack Halliday James Bastin

some players needed rest before the incoming FA Cup Final so Charlie Preedy was replaced by Dan Lewis (should be the same keeper of FA Cup Final 1927 against cardiff and everyone knows what he did), Eddie Hapgood by Brian Cope, Billy Seddon by Alf Haynes and Jack Lambert by Dave Halliday that scored 4 times
one goal more was disallowed by ref to AFC

Arsene will no doubt rewrite a new chapter in Arsenal history by becoming the first team to ever throw away a six goal lead to draw 6-6
