I thought so too, but that was before we dropped points against Everton, and Tottenham beat Man City.

Basically, I just don't fancy us to beat Man Utd or win at Newcastle on the final day. We've got a really poor record at St. James's Park, and only won one of the last six there (and that was the season they went down). We all know what happened at QPR last season too.

I reckon that we'll take around 7-8 points out of a potential 12. Tottenham have got some very winnable games against Wigan, Southampton, Stoke and Sunderland, and I reckon they'll get about 9 points there. Chelsea have a slightly tougher run-in, but I'd imagine they'd see off Swansea, Aston Villa and Everton. What happens in the Chelsea/Tottenham game is anyone's guess, but at least one of them is taking a point, or points.

If we lose to Man Utd on Sunday, I reckon top four will be pretty difficult (and definitely out of our hands).

And there's the crux of the issue, JD! We've had the CL money for 16 years. But when over the last say 8 years did we really invest in top quality players? Whether the money is available or not Wenger will not spend it as that would be to admit he can't build a PL/CL winning team from scratch through utilising only his own brilliance...

Could I assume from that then that you wouldn't mind if they finished ahead of us? Of course not! (I hope not anyway ). I don't think about them that much either but I do deffo want to ALWAYS finish ahead of / beat them. And tbh we are back in the days of two bald augies ( ) fighting over a comb right now and have been since about August 2008...
