Re: other pl games this weekend
I don't think he even needed to win the PL to justify his move as progressive regarding winning trophies. That was never in doubt. And most of the concerns he raised have been echoed by probably thousands of fans.
But he forced through the move to United. Yes, we let him shaft us instead of cutting off his cock and stuffing down his throat, but he didn't just want to leave - he wanted to go to United. I doubt hed have even wanted to go to Juve just for the chance of winning Europe's 4th best league.
Football fans are a bitter breed and the move would have really stuck in the craw anyway but his self-serving statement with its condescending undertones (released whilst still captain of AFC and being paid handsomely) is enough in itself to mark him with the label of Grade A *word censored*.

Well he is the real "victim" after all
Fucking scouse wankers, the ban should start next season as the 4 remaining games mean fuck all.
Well he is the real "victim" after all

I'm still struggling to understand how taking a nip out of someone's arm or spitting is worse than ending someone's career by breaking their leg. Childish and pathetic though it is.

RAWK is fucking excellent this afternoon if anyone needs a laugh. Apparently it's all a racist conspiracy and Patrice Evra, David Cameron & Alex Ferguson are to blame...

Ten games is way OTT, in my opinion. It's more than Paul Davis got for punching a player in the face and breaking his jaw! How can that be right? I said on the day that 5-6 games would've been about right, and I'm standing by that. At least the Liverpool fans are fucked off though!
Edit: Will be interesting to see what Liverpool's first six fixtures are next season. No doubt Man Utd will play them at home on the first day to give them an easy ride. No chance we'll be playing against them whilst Suarez is banned, surely.

Re: other pl games this weekend
10 games for biting somebody in itself is not unreasonable. No sympathy with Suarez because he's a twat and certainly no sympathy for Liverpool because of the way the club conducted itself after the last fiasco. But again the lack of consistency from the FA is what really leaves them open to criticism:
- Break a player's leg: 3 games
- Racially abuse somebody: 8 games
- Nibble somebody: 10 games (or a yellow card if the ref sees it)
The Victims thing got old long ago but imo Liverpool can quite rightly point to the FA's refusal to take action against Defoe after the ref booked him for biting Mascherano. If I was them I would be questioning why an offence supposedly worth 10 games was not reviewed by the FA on that occasion when they overruled the ref to give Ben Thatcher a ban of 8 games.
The FA should have slammed him with a 12-15 game ban for the racism, the actual finding of racism was the controversial part so why they didn't throw the book at him I don't know. And then trying to make up for that with this just compounds things.

He got 7 games ban for previous similar offense. 10 is not that far off from 7.

Trial by media. It was making headlines and even being discussed in parliament, the FA dare not give any punishment that could be interpreted as lenient. It's always fun to laugh at the victims but if that were one of our players I'd be pissed off too.

Re: other pl games this weekend
The problem isn't this decision. 10 games for biting somebody (tbf I didn't realise he'd lost his head so much, thought he was doing it purely to wind him up) isn't at all unreasonable.
The problem is that more or less every other high-profile decision they've had to make in the last decade - where they have almost invariably bottled it and handed down a lenient punishment. Now when they actually hand out meaningful punishments they have to withstand critical comparisons with past decisions.

I'm with you 100% on this chippy - the media went after him with a vengeance hence the 10 game ba,n but they constantly make excuses for tackles that can end a players career

Re: other pl games this weekend
What annoys me is that on the night, the Liverpool board release a statement calling the incident 'totally unacceptable and not befitting the behaviour of a professional player at Liverpool' and then are 'shocked and stunned' at the length and severity of the ban. Double standards as far as I can see. Their statement smacks of lip service and as usual, another player is molly-coddled by their club. He bit someone FFS! Players are becoming so protected and distant from the real world that the rest of us live in. It's an old chestnut, but if you or me did that down the pub, we would be charged with ABH/GBH, and if we did it at work, we would also be sacked instantly! Players rule and clubs can't do anything to control the behaviour, as they will NEVER sack them and lose them to a rival. Egotistical, overpaid, arrogant, dirty, sneaky bastards!

If he'd gone to Juve or Bayern (or even arguably added 20 goals to some nearly teams) he'd have won something...
