As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Speculation is rife that Valdes may be on the move as his contract runs out at the end of next season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looks to be trying to find a new number one, which means that Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny will be challenged for a starting role.
The Express suggest that reports in Spain say that Arsenal have already made contact with Valdes’ agent and the fee looks to be around £4.25 million.
Valdes has only ever played for Barcelona during his career, making 497 appearances in all competitions for the first team. He played last night for Barcelona, who were defeated 4-0 in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Bayern.
Arsenal may have to be prepared for negotiations with the Spanish giants Barcelona, who are looking for £10 million for their goalkeeper.
Although, the Express suggest that the London-based side are confident on getting the Spaniard on the cheap due to his contractual situation.
Makes me laugh..... all I've seen today are articles about Arsenal being a classy club.
So do they call this classy....

A wee bit off topic. Saw a local news article about a lad from N, Ireland who plays for NY Red Bulls, John Steele (I think) but Henry was on talking the lad up. To think we used to have class players at our club like TH14 almost made me cry.
The young guy from Larne claimed that working with Henry on a daily basis was mind blowing.

Born in Larne, NI.
Played for Wolves youth team.
9 year career, but played for NI in 2006.
Sign him up Arsene
Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel is understood to be too expensive.
Honestly, I don't think it makes any difference who we play in defence or what defenders we buy anymore. We've tried x amount of different back 4 combinations over the years & we're still terrible (awaits stat about how we've conceded the fewest away goals or something). The problem is not so much the personnel but the lack of defensive coaching I feel...
it's weird, we've at times defended pretty well
but you look at goals like the one v Norwich and just shake your head
(that was prob Arteta's fault as opposed to a defender but you know what I mean)
Personally i dont think we defend as a team, so individual personel won't really make a difference. Its the gung-ho approach of thinking however many they score we will get more, the problem is when you play this way you will always come unstuck whoever is up front a few times a season and fail to score where as you'll still conceded those goals. Teams that rely on outscoring opponents don't win major trophies

Are you sure, I would have thought that the team that outscores it's opponents the most during a season always wins the trophies
