SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

8m for remy would be a good deal imo and if we have any semblance of intelligence then the deal should be completed tomorrow or Tuesday before other clubs come in for him - qpr are now relegated so moving for him now won't affect them one bit

No thanks......an average French striker for 8m is the last bloody thing we need. David Villa for more than double that please

Steve O you ridicule those that have higher transfer aspirations but when we point to more realistic (cheap) targets you dismiss them too :? Of course I would much rather spent 16m on David villa but under this c.unts stewardship it simply won't happen :( :banghead: :cussing:

Seriously ?  If Dortmund sell him too then their club is totally fcuked cos no matter how much money they get, they cannot be classed as a big club if they sell their best two players (copyright arsole wenker  )

I would take Remy for £8M.
He is not bad, already living in London having had a few months of this league, and can play wide left midfield too.

I would then try to offload Gervinho, and am also aware that there has been talk of Podolski leaving.
Remy would be a decent replacement for Podolski and an improvement on Gervinho.

We could then go for another striker too, Jovetic seems the likely one?

Think Augie is right, Villa's price and age will mean we do not bid for him.

For his injury record 16million is too much. I'd prefer Jovetic. Why is no one considering Michu, he has had a better season than all the other strikers and even though he signed a new contract, his get out clause can't be that high. It's Swansea ffs. Think 12-15million would get him.

I'd take Villa (£16m) AND Jovetic (£20-24m).

Kon...Who  ?!

Looks like Valencia will not make CL Qualification this year in 'La Liga'
http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/intl ... eltag.html
and they are also (like most spanish clubs) short on cash. So maybe some intersting players to look for, also at Malaga, but I think Isco is on almost every shopping list

Cheers,
Thomas
