Re: Arsenal v Manure
Not much to say except that I would have taken the point before the game had it been offered.
Sagna in really poor form.
Otherwise nothing new.

Re: Arsenal v Manure
What a chance blown
Sagna's a fucking idiot. It's one thing to play a shite pass but to then foul RvP in the box is the most retarded brain fart I've seen in a while. And then, as if he's not done enough damage, he risks a sending off on 60 mins for a needless foul.
I'm also pissed off that we brought Wilshere on for Rosicky. Mozart was on fire today; running at United and driving us forward, so we take him off for a half fit, out of form player? - why?
we lost so much energy and momentum, that I'm lost for words why Wenger did it
Anyway, really pleased with the energy, desire and lack of needless sideways passing today
- just a shame we were sabotaged by Sagna's brainless intervention and, for me at least, a very poor substitution by Wenger. There's no way I would have taken Rosicky off, but I've not managed 30 years in football...
Not a dreadful result, but it's points dropped against a side with nothing to play for. What a missed opportunity!

Nice to see average actor singing his heart out in the away end. The p***k lives near me as well. Bet he didn't turn up for the away Monday nights up north.
Oh well same old Arsenal good performance amd nowt to show for it.
5 points off Everton, a win and a draw from the last 3 should do it.
Re: Arsenal v Manure
We'll never get a better chance to beat United. For 30 mins they were on their holidays but apart from the long shot by Cazorla we couldn't really force De Gea to make much of a save. The lack of a class striker is so apparent to everyone and has been from the start of the season......to everyone apart from Lord A-Hole that is. Honestly, he's tried Wally, Forehead, Le Chapman down there and only Pod briefly today and none of them are good enough all-rounders to hold down that sole striker spot.
He might just get away with the Virtual Trophy yet again but an average team with 2 top class strikers (plus 2 half decent back-ups) have strolled the league and proved what £50m or so of investment leads to

Re: Arsenal v Manure
Game of two halves! Sagna's moment of stupidity changed the game completely. We came out second half looking nervous and scared. Reverted to the tippy-tippy bollocks we've become used to instead of keeping up the pace and pressing them all over the pitch. They were bankers for a red card and then we sat off them, allowing them back in the game. Jenko has to play the rest of the season. And a proper centre forward has to come in during the summer. Not all bad, but it's still gonna go to the last day.

We were lucky to get a point today, although i'm not sure how much a draw gives us at this stage. We needed a win. Sagna was horrible. Hope he knows why we didnt give him an extension because that was pitiful. Referee decisions went our way and we still couldn't win.
We seem to be playing a lot more wider today but even still, our passing is too slow and inaccurate. Every time we went forward I cringed, because we looked too vulnerable to the inevitable counter attack. Our midfield lacks balance. Our CB's are nearly always vulnerable.
I don't think we deserve CL tbh. It's yet another big game that we bottled. How many pts have we taken from the top 5 this year? 5? Awful record.
Have to win all 3. We could in theory need to win just 2 but that's arrogant.

Re: Arsenal v Manure
We got a point more than we all thought we would today.
We practically bossed the midfield today, our only issue was the flanks. Koscielny had a fantastic game, he really does step up when needed. Sagna should never play for Arsenal again in my opinion. A liability all season and he is getting worse, today proved that he lacks that mental sharpness needed for the Premier League.
Taking Rosicky off for Jack was a bit silly to be honest. I would of taken Arteta off and had Jack polay the deper role, anchoring the midfield as to be honest he seems to be good at that more than overall creative play - at least while he's still not 100%.
Podolski should have stayed on for the full 90 (mainly saying that cos we have no better option to bring off the bench) but other than that I feel that we played quite well, especially in the first half. Arsenal showed fight today, sadly it was just that one laps that cost us today.
It may feel like a loss but we need to remember, we had the champions on the ropes and we need to take that way from today and expand on that.
If we continue to play like that week after week for the rest of this season and throughout the next I see no reason why we can't be up there fighting with the rest of them. We do have the ability to do it, today showed that.
WELL DONE THE ARSENAL!

Re: Arsenal v Manure
Like others, would have taken the point before the game. Given performance of the first 30 or so minutes, I'm pretty deflated at the final score.
Two wins should be enough to secure us 4th. Our GD means the y*ds effectively need 71 points to finish ahead of us: 3 wins from Southampton, Chelsea, Stoke and Sunderland
I see them getting 7-8 points.

10 games played v our top 6 opponents W:1 D:4 L:5 7points out of 30.We are simply not good enough. We couldnt beat a United side who were already on the beach.Didnt create a thing in the 2nd half.
Podolski proved he is no better than Giroud.Wenger took off our best player and kept on Walcott what a joke. And once again come a big match Cazorla does his disappearing act

We destroyed Fergie's dreams of record points

Re: Arsenal v Manure
You can see that the losing habit we've developed under Wenger is reflected in the results against the other big teams. Even when we are leading against them there doesn't ever seem to be any real belief that they can hold on to the lead. That solitary win came against a Spuds team that were 1-0 up and cruising at our place before Greedybarnwhore got himself sent off.donaldo wrote:10 games played v our top 6 opponents W:1 D:4 L:5 7points out of 30.We are simply not good enough. We couldnt beat a United side who were already on the beach.Didnt create a thing in the 2nd half.

United will win the league by a country mile but the manager will already be plotting the 2 key signings that will make them more genuine contenders for the CL next season and will offload any of the underperforming shite that clutters the squad. The Self Harmer meanwhile will do his usual thing of mistaking the form of the past 10 games for title winning form the next season, adding a no-mark from France and signing up average young players for another 4 or 5 years.

Re: Arsenal v Manure
need Chelsea to do us a favour against Spurs now -
If Wenger doesn't get a decent striker in, in the summer we will be saying and doing the same shit this time next year
although we do have Chamakh and Bentdner to come back, so not all bad

Re: Arsenal v Manure
I know Fergie's a prat but surely even he can understand the bad feeling towards RvP?On Van Persie's penalty:
"He's taken three so far. It takes bottle to take a penalty when the crowd are booing. We have a great spirit of applauding players when they come back to our club. I expected the booing to be honest with you."

Not many players screw United over, so it's no wonder they don't boo their former players. It'll be interesting to see if the United fans applaud Podgba if Juventus visit Old Trafford... I find it very hard to believe he'll be welcomed back with open arms by the fans

I also remember United fans booing Ryan Giggs a few years back...
