Cesc to return?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Would happily see him next to Wilshere with Cazorla in front.

I'd love to see Cesc back at the club, but I just can't see it happening any time soon.

He'll either stay at Barca (which I think he will) or sign for another top team like Bayern Munich. Joining Arsenal, where his chances of winning trophies are practically zero, would be madness for such a good player.

That's not me feeling sorry for myself, but - in my opinion - a fair reflection of where we are as a club at the moment.

If Fabregas wasn't happy with the shape Arsenal was in when he left in 2011, he sure ain't gonna like what he sees in 2013.

I have a bad feeling we may see him at ManUre in the not so distant future. He won't be going to Bayern now they've got Goetze, I can't see him playing in Italy, and there's not another Spanish club he'll join.

Hope I'm wrong

Oh look its season ticket renewal time, lets give the peasants something to cling onto. As if he'll come back, what fucking planet are some people on?

Cesc would be a massive boost, we have never replaced his talent frankly. He also would slot right back into our system as he knows how we play - that's immeasurably valuable. You can sign any world class player for big money, but there's never a guarantee they're going to work well in your system; in the case of Fabregas, you'd know exactly what you're getting for the money.

It would be a dream to have him back. I can't imagine there's a gooner who wouldn't like to see him back.

I think in terms of playing ability, he's a no-brainer to sign. The problem I have is him flirting with Barce again once Iniesta/Xavi retire. I'd hope he wouldn't but a more realistic opportunity to start at Barcelona would surely be too much for him to turn down.

I cannot see him coming back,Xavi is 33,Cesc just needs to be patient and I'm sure it will happen there for him at Barcelona.I for one would love to see him back at Arsenal though.

Fabregas would only ever come back if his future at Barca was dead and buried. And there's no way they'd let him slip a second time if they thought he might be a regular for them again in the future.

If he did ever toy with the idea of coming back I would personally go over there to bring him back. Which is convenient as Vueling now fly Cardiff-Barcelona. I'm not forking out for hold luggage though.

Would love to see him in an Arsenal shirt next year but I struggle to see why Barca would let him go given the age of Xavi. However I'm going to be slightly optimistic and say I believe he will one day wear an arsenal shirt again!
