Meanwhile .. in Vienna

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Meanwhile .. in Vienna

Post by OOKed »

In a similar situation to the gap between Arsenal and Man Utd this season .. Anything we can learn from Rapid Vienna ?

Rapid Vienna fans built a brick wall in front of their club's head office in protest at their team's terrible form. They sit third in the league, 23 points off city rivals Austria Vienna. -- BBC

Should have got local builder Josef Fritzl to do it.... board members would never have got out then!

My understanding of Heysel is that hundreds of Cockney fans ran amok on the terrace causing the loss of life, while this went on the Scousers waited in line outside (like they always do) holding their legally obtained tickets and regaling the locals with their World famous wit. I exaggerate a bit, but that was the bones of a Victim fan's explanation of that night to me.

Arsenal FC have announced the are willing to sell bricks for any proposed wall in the Club shops' .

I've tried to get some of our players to join in with the fans and build a wall outside the Emirates, but Rosicky has already turned his back on it.
