THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The emperor has spoken, everything is well again in the Wenger Rosey Garden. Nothing to see here, move along and sign your renewels and shut-it.

Also as She wore pointed out, check out one of the comments, 'Having the new stadium is like winning a trophy'. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

He also said in his press conference today that he is "happy to stay at AFC as long as we continue to be successful".....if this is success then I dont know what qualifies as failure :?
This is the same man that 4 years ago announced that if he didnt obtain success within 2 years then he would leave and here we are 4 years later and we are still stuck with the c.unt   Are we ever gonna get rid of this p***k ? I have said it all along and I continue to say it.....if we want to get rid of him then it will be up to us fans to drive him out

There is no hope for change when the man can still comand total respect. Never worry about RvP , let's all sing another anti Spurs song :barscarf:

it makes me so sad to see the club i love slowly going nowhere yet with so many supporters who are still so blind to the fact that Wenker is finished, its like being told your wife is having an affair by lots of people yet still denying it even though the truth is staring you in the face, sometimes the truth hurts but how the feck are we gonna change the minds of the sheep at the emirates,i find it soul destroying :(

Agree with all that.

And the wife analogy is a good one. We could take it a bit further and describe this once loving and adorable wife as having undergone a complete personality change ... while also paying out for a big pair of grotesque plastic tits (to be flaunted along with the fake tan) that she expects her loyal husband of many years to pay for!

We're looking at 2016 or 2018. If the last eight years and especially the last two or three have been deemed satisfactory by the board, then let's face it, they're not going to get rid of him and he won't walk away. By 2016, 2017 and 2018 with Wenger still in charge, we'll still be 'well placed for success in the next few years'.

Any comment that has any kind of negative vibe, no matter how sensibly it points out Wenger's failings, is just given a negative rating. I can't find one that is above 0!

In the past he has usually agreed his contract extensions with plenty of time to spare before the current expires, I can see a new deal being agreed in the autumn after 3 or 4 straight league wins against the likes of Norwich and Wigan.

I like the way he says he'll sign a new deal "if Arsenal do well" as if that's a factor out of his control :?

And I presume scraping 4th qualifies as "doing well"

Oh Dan......the megaphones will trumpet loud as Lord Wenger and his disciples stride along Holloway Road wearing "I luv AW" T-shirts, and the burgers will sizzle, and the Away Boyz will boom out their favourite tunes......and we'll all be saved from a life of "be careful what you wish for"

The future's bright.......the future's virtual
