Andre Santos: Arsenal haven’t seen the last of me, I still have a future here.

“The idea is to go there, play well and be able to come back strong. Do I have a future at the club? For sure. This is a loan deal and after this season we will see where everything stands.

“I always wanted to stay here until the end of my contract. This is a club where I feel comfortable and honoured to play. However, when the club acquired another left-back it was clear to me that I will not play. I need to play, get my confidence back and Gremio is a good platform for this.

“I talked [with Wenger] and we decided together this would be a good chance for me to get on top of my game. He gave me a hug and told me Arsenal would always welcome me back with open arms. He did [want me to stay] but he wanted to see me happy and if I am not performing all the time, then I am not happy"

“The idea is to go there, eat well and be able to come back fatter. Do I have a future at the club? Is a Whopper a gorgeous fucking burger? This is a loan meal and after this season we will see if McDonalds can endorse me.

“I always wanted to eat here until my stomach explodes. This is a club where I feel comfortable and honoured to eat. However, when the club acquired another left-back it was clear to me that I will not eat. I need to eat, get my chubbiness back and Gremio is a good platform for this.

“I talked [with Wenger] and we decided together this would be a good chance for me to get on top of some chip butties. He gave me a pizza and told me Arsenal would always welcome me back with open arms. He did [want me to eat] but he wanted to see me happy and if I am not eating all the time, then I am not happy".

Fixed that.

The idea of Fat Andrew bear-hugging Arsene's sinewy figure is grotesque.

He's lost a bit of Terry and he's playing although after his recent penalty miss they might ship him back.
Santos Denilson and Cambell, Djourou are the only playing loanees ,the rest hardly making the roster !

Not yet confirmed on AFC but it's being reported that Arsenal have agreed to cancel Santos' contract and that he's signing/signed for Flamengo. I now have the tiniest tiniest tiniest modicum of respect for the bloke if it's true that he's decided to get off the gravy train (presumably he was tempted aboard by the assumption that the gravy was an accompaniment to some sort of pie) instead of refusing to leave and giving up on his career because he didn't want to sacrifice his pay packet.

Farewell Fat Andrew, you van Judas-loving, cake-scoffing, ball-watching, kebab-munching bone idle excuse for a professional athlete. Truly one of the most disgraceful players ever to wear our famed purple-and-black kit.

Agreed - good riddance to the useless *word censored*. We just need Billy Bigbollox Bendtner to piss off now and a collection of dross would have been swept out the door this Summer.....the one crumb of comfort when we won't sign anyone of note
