SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That £70million if it exists is going to be spent on untried and untested sh*te.

If this season was tough. Next one will be ridiculous.

Chavs with the not-so-special-in-Spain one spending lots of wonga
Shitty with ANother spending lots of wonga
Scum(if they get 4th) spending wonga and keeping the ape
Manure being well...Manure even with the potential leveller of Moyes
Red dippers improving their squad even with the leveller of Rodgers

That's 5 teams that will spend more wisely than we will.

If Everton board get someone good like Laudrup then they might start turning those negative Moyes draws into wins against the bigger sides.

This is not the summer to buy ligue2 sh*te FFS :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Even if Wenger was told in unequivocal terms that he had £70m to spend and improve the squad he would not spend it.

He treats the club's money as if it's his own (as if £7.5m a year isn't enough  ). He has spouted so much crap about financial doping, self-sustainability etc, is so stubborn and tunnel-visioned and has spent so long criticising the media and endlessly shielding and mollycoddling our squad that he's not suddenly going to become ruthless now.

He's already said if somebody gave him £100m to spend he'd give it back, I don't think £70m would be too different!

It is such a stupid tw*t headed thing to say but doesn't surprise me one bit.

Next year is a big f**king deal.

I wouldn't be suprised if Whiskey nose knew he was going to retire and went all out to to get 2 players he thought would get him the 13th and Manure's 20th in 2013.

2013/2014 will be the 10th anniversary of the Invincibles, with nothing in between. We will no doubt wheel out the players bar A**ehole Cole which will be supposed to be a proud thing but it will make us look smalltime, like the scum who keep wheeling out the 60/61 team. it's been so f**king long I'm surpised they're not all dead

The impatient had enough of this sh*te part of me wants someone to come in take over give Wiggy,Ivan and AW a payoff followed by a f**k off. Get a proper manager that wants real trophies not virtual ones , there are a few out there, and spend some serious f**king money. We can afford it.

Then blow the other c**ts out of the water and restablish the club where it should be, at the top of the tree. It could be us picking up the 14th title in 2014 on the anniversary of the Invincibles. Now that would soften the blow of horrednously expensive season tickets.

seeing that Spuds are allegedly interested in David Villa is making my stomach turn, can you inagine it,as we go out this summer and overload the squad with even more absolute total shit Spuds go and buy a ready made goal getter who will ultimately finally put daylight between them and us,i can just see it now,us having a shite start to the season and being out of the title running by october(as per) then Lord Wenker promising to spend in january only for us to improve enough(as per) for him to put the cheque book away again(to his releif) only for us to be struggling again to qualify for the CL.What part of ' this is a massive summer in terms of transfers' doesnt he understand? not winning titles is one thing and something we've got used to in recent years but with Spuds ready to eclipse us any sane manager at the helm at Arsenal should be splashing the cash on proper established world class stars. The day Spuds eclipse us grows ever closer and Wenker seemingly doesnt give a flying fuck,i hate him,i wish he'd just fuck off and take all the sheep with him :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

It doesn't matter if we have or have not got a £70 million war chest inspector fucking clueless will not spend it! Time and time again we have heard him/club promise to invest in top,top or super quality players, only to sign more second rate shit invariably from either the French first or second division.
He will come out with the same old excuses about missing out on their target players, due to us being unable to compete with the petro dollar clubs. :banghead:

Well today Arsene we saw a petro dollar club put in their place by the hard working, well organised and tactically astute Wigan yes that's right the mighty fucking Wigan in the FA Cup final........ That's one more trophy than us over the last 8 years Arsene just in case you hadn't noticed our paucity of silverware over that period.

Its already building up to the usual transfer window Gooner style

Get consistently linked with one quality player that is seemingly a done deal only to watch rival club sign him - for Mata read Jovetic

Then sign a couple of wankpots from Ligue 1 - for Giroud read Aubameyang, and for Song read Gonalons

We're the only team where £70m to spend is something to fear rather than look forward to

A mark of the strength of the French league

5th highest goalscorer - Aliadiere with 15 goals
6th highest goalscorer - Kalou 13 goals
9th highest - Modeste 12 goals (the guy who couldn't get a look in when Blackburn were relegated)

Their goal tallies for this season alone must outnumber the total league goals they scored during their entire time in England

Valencia prepared to sell defender to Arsenal for £12.5m

Arsenal could receive a boost in their bid to sign Adil Rami from Valencia, with the Spanish club looking to cash in on the French defender. According to talkSPORT, a bid of £12.5million could be enough for the Gunners to land the centre-back, who is reportedly keen on a move to a bigger club to boost his chances of a place in the French national team.
