Meh, I'd take him.

Ten years ago I'd have been principled and told you to fuck off, but if it's a choice between Rooney and Gerivnho, Chamakh, Bendtner and all the other dross we've been subjected to over the years, then I'd gladly deal with the devil if it meant us actually competing for something (anything).

if he'd take a 50% paycut yes... actually £125k pw is still a bit much,
I'd take him but only on a goals/appearances dependent contract, would not match his £250k

nope.

Giroud scored and created more than him this year, and I detest him on principle- same as Rio, Lampard etc

What? Giroud played 33 games in the league in which he scored 11 and set up 5. Rooney played 27 and has 12 goals and 10 assists and btw he didn't even play as a striker.. I think he still has easily 20+ league goals in him as lone striker. Would be immense but I can't really see it happening.

No way, he couldn't behave himself under a ferguson regime, he'd be having tantrums every other week. The geezer is an attention seeker and wouldn't do our team spirit any good.

vanStaplecunt is the best Prem striker there is,
Cavani, Ibra, Lewandoski, Falcao are the only others near that bracket
signing from the tier below that, which I guess we will be, Rooney's decent (if overpriced)
I'd probably rather Higuain or Villa but Shrek is IMO off-form rather than crap

That just about sums it up. :high5:

Even so I would say "Yes" he shows passion and determination in every game even when he's having a stinker and has to dive to get a pen to beat a team...

Unlikely Rooney Transfer - would you welcome it?

Post by cameron326 »

the Daily Fail today has Arsenal as potential launchers of a 20 million bid for Rooney, should he decide his future
lies elsewhere. Would he be a good signing at that price? I reckon if we could get him and Higuain it would herald some excellent times, he could play behind him. But as an only buy, played up front alone or behind an existing squad member, say walcott or Giroud, i dont think it makes sense.
