WIGAN HOME

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

At 'em from the off please with plenty of pace & incision (wishful thinking). No scoring early & then sitting back trying to defend a one goal lead either!

We need to put them totally on the back foot right from kick off. I'm hoping there will be a few of them that are emotionally and psychologically spent after Saturday. I know - they are supposed to be professional and this is arguably a bigger game for them (in the grand scheme of things) but it must be hard to come back down to Earth after something like winning the FA cup as huge underdogs. :|

But if we fuck about and let them get comfortable we will be in the shit. :|

Possibly the 2 biggest games of Wenger's career, as failure will be seen as unacceptable by many fans and relished by the media.
I fully expect him to fuck it up as he always when the pressure is on.

But it is the virtual trophy that we are talking about and Wenger is steely as ever when it comes down to this trophy. I will go for a 2-1 shaky home win.

I wonder how much they paid Fulop last year to have a mare against us? Anyone at Wigan out of contract this summer that will be playing?

Here's the problem; Wigan need a win. Nothing else will do. While this theoretically should work to our advantage (the have to come at us, etc.) I just can't help but think that they will want it more than us.

I mean, really, to this group of players who are already on fuck knows how much a week, what difference does playing in the Champions League really make? I know the old cliché that big players want to play in the Champions League, but I think that's bollocks. Messi, Ronaldo, Van Persie? Sure. Podolski, Giroud, Arteta? Not so much.

Whereas, on the other hand, Wigan's choice is simple; win or get relegated. Basically, what I'm saying is that the incentive is far greater for Wigan tonight, so they're going to be right up for it. In many ways, this will be a bigger game for them than the cup final. Because of that, I can see our lot bottling it, big time.

Yeah, thanks for that, I was nearly getting some work done for a minute
Nah, you'll be fine man, there's a reason why Wigan are where they are and why Arsenal are where they are, plus the players will all have canny bonuses for getting into the CL and some of them will know that there wouldn't be a whole host of CL clubs vying for their signature should they fail to get in there with Arsenal. You'll be okay, you'll win (he said whilst holding a rabbits foot, a four leaf clover and avoiding walking under any ladders). Oh I wish this fucking game would just kick off

I'm nervous about this game but more nervous about a blood test I have to go for in half an hour

I hate needles, stems from one I had at school (you know the one where the nurse throws it in like a fekin javelin, pulls it out half then smacks it back in with a hammer and leaves it there for 5 minutes   ) and the nurse said don't watch it, me being me watched it, passed out and smacked my head on the floor when I fell off the chair and woke up in the nurses office :(

Anyhow as I woke up and looked to the side of me 3 of my mates had gotten out of a double lesson to sit with me, one of them was very kind and sensitive the other 2 were pissing themselves laughing........cos I had pissed my pants when I was out cold

What a c.unt, I never lived it down, kids can be so cruel....please god don't let me pass out.......I'v made sure I have some decent thick boxer shorts on to soak up as much as possible, just in case

Was thinking of incontinence pants but that's just plain embarassing :?

Considering we are a top 5 team and they are in the bottom 3...this should be a No Contest Game....BUT because we have wenker as manager who having lost his magic hat and his touch some 6 seasons ago.....there is every chance we could fuck this right up.

FACT.

Not knowledge, wisdom or opinion I quoted you, are you saying your account was hacked?
generally don't believe those on here (or Gooners on Twitter) who claim they want us to lose games/not win things
always unsurprised to see the backtrack
