But the thing is our plight won't go on for too much longer. Wenger's on his last legs and Kroenke and his money men will eventually fuck off and Usmanov will take over. The future of the club is bright and the potential is massive. Don't let the last few years of disappointment discourage you from anticipating a successful future for the club. Football is cyclical, we'll have our glory days again.

1. Why the fuck do we have a thread about the chavs winning a trophy? :x

2. We are still the big club in London. Yeah yeah yeah - we get it, Wenger has fucked up and we haven't won shit for 8 years. We get it. I want him him gone too. But the chavs have had one spell of real success, paid for by a Russian pimp. We have history, they don't. We have won more trophies, and most importantly more leagues. We have a bigger fan base. In two eras we changed the way the game was played (30's and late 90's).The list goes on. As someone above said they are now a big or successful team, but certainly not a bigger club. Cop the fuck on. History doesn't dissapear because of a bad spell. Even an 8 year one. Any supporter willing to discredit our history and traditions because of their dislike of Wenger needs to take a long look at themselves.

3. Pikey Chav Terry is an embarrassment to mankind. :censored:  :x

That is all. 8)

Hmmm....probably I'll not get a lot of credit for this post :-).

First of all let's leave all the 'were comes the money from' discussion beside. I mean when you look these days at English football club they are run by: a) sheik b) Russian oligarch c) American investor
so I think the money argument is not really one.

Second, Arsenal is still the London club with the biggest history in football. But history is one thing, the current and the future is another thing. For example in Germany-Borussia Mönchengladbach was one of the biggest team in Germany and Europe during the 70teens and now? Professional football is all about competition on every level: within the squad, within the national league, within derbies, within international games and the goal is to compete with your assets as best as possible.

Third, from the outside I have to admit that Chelsea is a team tough to play, regardless if you like their style of football or not. They have achieved something nobody has done before, winning both European major trophies in a season. Their manager has won the CL and the EL, must be a good bloke.

So I think Chelsea should get the credit they deserve for winning major European titles, although I can understand that you as a local revival don't like them very much ;-).

Cheers,
Thomas

Noticed Ba going up in his suit and collecting a medal, surely he is not entitled to a medal as he was cup-tied? Terry is Terry so I wouldn't expect any different from him.

Incorrect, mate. They won the CL in 2012 and the EL in 2013. Two different seasons. Also, they won them under 3 different managers; Villas-Boas and Di Matteo both managed the chavs during the 2012 season and Benitez won the EL.

Also, they are sub human scum. :D

I would agree with you if football was like it was when i first went to Arsenal when you could turn up at 2.55pm and pay on the gate. But now Arsenal fans are paying the highest ticket prices for what? For what a club with a great history. The world moves on.Arsenals problem is we are now living in the past. Some Gooners are actually getting excited about a 3rd place play-off with the Chavs.FFS a 3rd place place off. Will there be a trophy like the championship play-off

Victim FC fans saying the same in the early 90's.Its 23 years since they won the title and they are further away than ever. But they still have their history on DVD. No guarantee we will be ever be back on top.Because of the damage Wenger has done. And i think he will still be here in 4 years time because the Emirates is still full of AKB's

The worst thing ever was Chelsea being the first London team to win the Champions league that more than anything should have got Wenger the bullet.

The only good thing was Abramovich approached Spurs first but they turned him down. Can you imagine it

Don, I agree with most of that, particularly the Chavs winning the CL before us. Shameful.

BUT

none of it changes the fact that Liverpool are still a huge club or that we are still the biggest club in London. Liverpool's last 10 years has been almost insignificant when compared to the chavs, but would anyone seriously try and claim that the chavs are now a bigger club than the Victims?

The chavs have put a dent in our reputation as the big dog in London. But because of the things I have listed and the public and media perception of the two clubs, we are still the bigger club.

1. Agree 100%

2. More importantly, when does that argument expire ? We all know that it has only been one spell but it is a very successful spell and with the immenent return of the portugese c.unt and the expected transfer splash they will make in the summer, this one spell shows no sign of ceasing  They have won the champs league trophy and in doing so have become the first london team to do so and that is something that will be in the history books forever  History alone will not maintain our status as london's number 1 club....a continued "dry spell" for us combined with their glory period continuing will see more and more london kids and more and more people worldwide turn to the chavs as the club to support :( Notts forest and the victims are living proof that history will only work as a defence for so long and lest we forget, the scousers have a history that largely exceeds ours (hooligan issues aside) - do you see the victims ever sitting on top of the pile again ? I know that I dont cos, while I accept that they will enjoy the odd success here and there, football has now changed and moved on and they have been left way behind.
Finally, like it or not, the history and club traditions died for many people several years ago :( We, as a club, sold out to that when we left highbury and it's marble halls and disposed of our traditional crest for one that will generate money  We were innovaters and now we are just another club ruthlessly chasing the money (and that policy pre-dates the slimy yank) so maybe we as fans need to accept that as much as we dont want it to be so, we are now a different club with a different identity and different ambitions than the club we grew up with

Agree with most of that, augie. And agree there is a time limit on "big club" status to a certain extent. But the question was are they "now" the biggest club in London. I would still say no, they aren't. They may indeed become the big dog, but that would take decades of growth in their fan base, having more than one successful spell, etc. Basically building their (up to this decade) missing history. No one is saying they are small time anymore, but they certainly aren't as big as us. Yet. :|

An absolute cretin, a sham of a human being, the lowest piece of shit in the toilet. His father's a drug dealer, his mother's a shoplifter, and he's a full kit wanker. He is also a fetid piece of subhuman mucus scraped from the gaping vagina of his fuckfaced mother. :x
