Happy St. Totteringham's Day

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Apparently it was also a transitional season according to a mate of mine. I told them when they sell Bale and he takes all of their creativity with him they'll fucking learn what a transitional season is!

It really was a bonus, unexpected gift on St Totts day. Even this morning I still laugh when I think of white t-shirt guy leaping around and those two women hugging, who by the way looked suspiciously like those two from OT with the "Who knew Fabregas 4yrs ago" banner :rubchin:

Belated Happy St Totteringham's Day peeps! :barscarf:
SKY showed yesterday and are still showing today who the wanted to win the VT...Nothing new there but why attempt to rewrite history . Let's talk about the second goal Totnumb got at the Bridge last week !!!!! Season over Arsenal 4th, not much to shout about in reality but finishing above them for the millionth time makes it special. The fact it pissed off Sky makes it better. (Gary Neville apart, he isn't pro Arsenal, just does his job properly )

I know every fan thinks the media has it in for them but I don't think it's much of a secret that Sky would prefer Spurs in the CL. They could market it as more exciting for them to get raped than for us to be edged out in the last 16.

Remember Ray Wilkins' commentary when Spurs got battered at Madrid? Despite having no affiliation with Spurs he was using "we" and "us", and you'd think his life was on the line listening to it. They were generally praised to high heaven for their heart in being dicked 4-0, the only reason that it wasn't more was some dubious refereeing and Madrid taking the piss once the tie was one. Then consider the same season us playing Barcelona. Granted we were dicked over 180 minutes but we nearly nicked through in spite of that and without our only good striker for the last 30 minutes or so. We were roundly panned and branded as absolutely pathetic by Sounness and whoever else they had on Sky that night.

I loved seeing Daniel Levy's snivelling little weasel-face at the final whistle. Priceless.

I just discovered that Monkey boy Bale's goals were worth 27 points to the knuckle-dragging swamp dwellers this season.
That's no mean feat by any standards and even the most die hard among us would have to admit he is quite a decent player.
Having said that, he is still a *** crunt without whom we would probably have enjoyed ST Totts day back in March. Let's hope he fucks off elsewhere and we get to enjoy it a bit earlier next year.

This season we've had Cazorla this season and Wilshere for half the year, as well as defending properly for far longer patches than in the last few years. Yet despite these considerable improvements we've still only clinched CL qualification on the last day and exited all 3 cups at exactly the same stages. Really speaks volumes about the devastating impact of losing a world class player, particularly one responsible for so much of a team's creative and goalscoring force.

I think if Bale goes, even if they get a fortune for him and reinvest it pretty wisely they'll really struggle to match this season, never mind kicking on. Never mind the fact that Spurs fans have yet to see the glass ceiling hovering right above where they are now...
