As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So where are the extra 27 points going to from?
27? assuming that's 17? I see no reason why we won't better what we did this year and given we had an almost Identical record to third this year an improvement would be top two. With factors like no ferguson, change in managers in competitors and what I believe is an excellent foundation as a team we have at present I don't think my 'delusion' is that far, if at all, removed from the realms of possibility.
I guess he thinks we won't need to gain an extra 27 points. Instead, an increase of 10-15 points, plus a Ferguson-less United not winning as many matches next season, and Man City/Chelsea having another inconsistent season will be enough.

For us to even comprehend being able to win the title, putting the minutiae of signings etc aside for a minute it will broadly require two things:
1) Us to continue our fantastic record against clubs outside the top 7 that we've been on since New Year's Day.
2) Us to start winning games against the likes of Chelsea, City and United (home and away) and Spurs away, or at least pick up significantly more points.
Past seasons and cynicism suggest that we will go back to dropping points far too regularly against shit side come the beginning of next season. Wenger's view of tactics as unimportant and our rigidity/predictability suggest that we will continue to lose big games before we even set foot on the pitch.
For 5 years now it's between 70 and 75 points at the end of the season. That's not enough to win the league. So if nothing specal happens that's about what I expect from next season and if that means 3rd, 4th or 5th depends on how the other teams do.
