SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Every season a load of the young players who haven't made it as far as hoped are released, as the under 21 and 18 teams didn't do very well I would think quite a few go this season.

John Cross from the Mirror believes Arsenal will make 3 big signings and smash their transfer record

News coming from the Arsenal Supporters Trust meeting indicates that Arsenal will have £70m for transfer NOT including wages

AST tonight confirm that Arsenal have £70m in the bank that could be used for transfers this summer

Bottom limit of £70m available for transfers with up to £100m if they really wanted to be ambitious without causing any issue.

It goes up by 20m-30m per season....mainly because we never use it. In Wenger's last season in 2020 we'll have 250m in the transfer kitty

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis maintains the club is in a healthy position to deliver Arsene Wenger's transfer targets - and a first trophy for eight years.

Having finished the season in fine form, with a ticket to the final qualifying round for the Champions League safely secured, Gazidis is now determined to help the club achieve tangible success.

"It is important to reiterate that for everyone at the club, qualification for the Champions League is not our ultimate ambition," he told the club's website.

"Our majority owner Mr Kroenke has made it clear that while it's an achievement to make the Champions League, our ultimate objective is to win the major trophies.

"We all share that clear ambition and will be driving the club forward to achieve it.

"Arsene and I have already been planning what we need to do to strengthen so we are better placed next season.

"One thing is certain - the club is in a very strong position to move forward and our form of losing just one of our last 16 Premier League matches shows that we have a solid foundation on which to build for success."

Mcdowell42. Is you is, or is you not actually John Cross? :D

Do you remember that tweet he made last year about a £30m purchase that was destined to happen?

Same trash tweeting from the sad git again I'm afraid.

Have the gold memberships to be renewed in a few days?

I am certain that we shall fail to make an impact in the transfer market, rather like Bonnie Tyler.

Expecting Jovetić and Cèsar to be signed up by July 1st. Then we'd only need a defensive midfielder and we'd be set.
