I hope we don't sell verm to UTD. They will actually get the best from him and he will score against us almost certainly.
That being said he was awful this season. Perhaps a swap deal for Hernandez.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Grêmio have revealed that they are unlikely to take up a permanent deal for wantaway Arsenal defender André Santos.
The Brazilian is currently on loan from Arsenal and Santos is reported to desire a return to Brazil but Grêmio's director of football, Rui Costa, is not confident of a deal being struck.
"The condition of the loan was six months. We are talking but it’s hard,” he told Fox Sports Brazil.
Santos has become a mainstay at the Porto Alegre club but now a return to England looks likely unless another club comes in for the Brazilian.
Arsenal also have Denilson out on loan to São Paulo and are much more confident of a deal after the Brazilian club revealed earlier this month that they are interested in a permanent deal.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic won’t be joining Arsenal and is focused on finding another Italian club, according to his agent.
The Montengero forward is widely expected to leave the Viola this summer after another successful season in Italy, the 23-year-old scoring 13 goals in Serie A.
Arsenal were one club who were thought to be keen on Jovetic, with reports this week claiming they had lodged a bid of around £24.5million with Fiorentina.
However, the striker’s agent, Fali Ramadani, has denied the Gunners have spoken with the Italian club and insists his client has no interest in moving to north London.
“Stevan prefers to stay in Italy rather than move away,” said Ramadani.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Arsenal's transfer of Yaya Sanogo has cleared a major hurdle, the striker has passed a medical.
The 20-year-old Auxerre striker, who has nine goals in 12 appearances this season, traveled to Arsenal in midweek to take the examination.
The news was confirmed by French website L'Yonne Republicaine, who first broke the news he would be taking a medical at the club earlier this week.
Sanogo passing the medical will come as a sigh of relief all round, considering his medical history - which included a broken tibia and a torn abductor muscle.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
I'm not convinced we're even in for Jovetic. It's exactly the sort of story that snowballs for a report from some unreliable Italian reporter, goal.com or even worse McDowell's mate Geoff_Arsenal!
In any event, I don't see his agent's comments as that important. If we were to make a serious offer today that Fiorentina would accept would he turn down a move to us on the off chance Juventus may make a similar/better transfer offer and he may be able to bully a move there? Unlikely imo. Conversely, even if he was desperate to come to Arsenal as first choice, it wouldn't make a difference if we were bogged down in our insistence on haggling well under asking price as another club would inevitably swoop in at some point with a better offer and he'd end up going there.
As usual, what we actually do is far more important than what anybody says.

I agree NB. See the post above yours.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
who cares about all this. we all know deep down that we will sell sagna and maybe vermaelen...then proceed to buy 3 players from the french 2nd division.
why would higuian or anybody thats class want to come to arsenal these days? RVP, Nasri etc... have proven that if you want to win trophies you don't come to this club currently. all we can hope to sign is someone like cazorla, whos class but a little more under the radar. or players who are "up and coming", but not those that are already established.

Don't know enough about the guy to say whether he would be a good buy or not but what I do know is that fiorentina fans hate juve with a passion - it is not knew and as far as I am aware it has always been that way but it went into overdrive back in the 90's when juve bought Baguio from the viola. Would fiorentina be willing to sell this guy to juve ? Maybe the viola are like AFC......sell the Crown Jewels to anybody once the price is right

Jovetic says he aint interested in Arsenal. Good. At 12 goals in 33 games I can't say i'm interested in him.

Key player ? Are you having a laff ? Santi is a squad player - he gets playing time of course but he isn't a first choice player much less a key player

Seriously JD, you need to take a step back and read some of the shite you have posted on here on recent weeks, this being just one example.highburyJD wrote:by failing to win trophies whilst with us?Yankee_Gooner_Dandee wrote:RVP, Nasri etc... have proven that if you want to win trophies you don't come to this club currently.'stealth' Cazorla: Key player for World Campions, best non Madrelona player in LaLiga???Yankee_Gooner_Dandee wrote:all we can hope to sign is someone like cazorla, whos class but a little more under the radar.
Your posts are becoming more and more "Redwumber like" so much so that your are losing credibility.
