SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No idea if we will sign him, but if previous summers are anything to go buy, we will sign one player that we have been linked with, and other players that the media did not link us to until the last minute.

Arsenal looking to wrap up a deal for the ‘next Mario Goetze’.

Arsenal have spotted a potential signing for future in Germany as Arsene Wenger aims to bring in VfL Bochum midfielder Leon Goretzka.
Goretzka has been dubbed the new Mario Goetze in his home nation for his impressive performances for the Bundesliga second division side.

Wenger needs to show intent by turning up at Anfield with his open war chest, and bringing Suarez back home with him. Buy the best in order to beat the rest, I would say he is getable.

Now that Higuain has agreed to a move to Juve and Jovetic has distanced himself with suggestions of a move to us, it's shaping up nicely for Arsene to remind us that there is a lot of money available but too little talent to spend it on.
I do really think that we have done our shopping, but hey ho, it will mean that we have a £100m warchest for next season.

What makes you think victims would happily agree to sell to us?

straight swap with Gervinho? :barscarf:
good idea! he should have been our player any way, but wenger would not buy, if we did put a bid in could start a bidding war, this would pee the spuds off, plus they could lose their best player.

Bale would fit in to our team better then spurs, yaya toure was another one that got away, there was talk when he had a trial at arsenal that he was better then kolo.

RVP would still be our player.

If we bid for Bale we'd be a fucking laughing stock and we'd be setting ourselves up for huge public ridicule.

Signing that c.unt (shitatchi) was only a marginally better signing than that washed up manc reject (silvestre) I think that for Gooners, silvestre will always be linked with bob pires - wenker had lost pires cos of his refusal to give him a 2 year deal but yet he signed an injury prone has been and gave him a two year deal  :x

Well they are an ITV4 team at best, and he deserves a lot better. Like him or not, he is a class act in the EPL :high5:
