Not chesney's biggest fan but this lambasting of him for either or both of today's goals is embarrassing  A wum started the ball rolling and then a few lads who should know better joined in - don't know what the fcuk people expect of a keeper left totally exposed by the defenders and midfielders in front of him

Certainly don't blame him whatsoever for the first (although a few of my mates watching the game tried to) because Bale was put through and had he come charging out he would have been rounded easily and quite possibly clattered him and seen red. He stayed on his feet and made Bale tuck it away, which he did well.

But he hardly covered himself in glory with the second. I did qualify this by pointing out others had made huge errors and a goal was always likely with an attacker one-on-one. But Lennon was running more across goal and onto his weaker foot, has considerably less composure in front of goal and had Szczesny narrowed the angle properly and made himself big there's more than a small chance he would have missed it. Instead Szczesny came haring out to dive on a ball that was never reaching him in a million years and turned what was a tricky finish into an open goal.

Not solely his fault by any means and quite possibly would have scored anyway but it's yet another goal that Szczesny has given a helping hand to - seems like it's every other week now. I don't see the problem with saying that Augie.

So because I have an opinion I am now dubbed a WUM?

Well, sorry for having such high expectations for a professional goalkeeper. I'm not saying at all that the loss was down to him fully today but his lack of command in the box has cost us on more than one occasion.

People don't agree with me regarding the first goal being his fault. That is fine. Everyone has their opinion but from my point of view Ches SHOULD of charged out and gone at Bale's feet and not run out, stop an put his hands above his head like he's being robbed. If he would of gone down to his feet then it means Bale has less chance to poking it home and we're not 1-0 down.

The second goal doesn't have to be explained again.

Point is, my opinion of ches is just that. MY opinion and if I am not allowed to post MY opinion. If you don't agree with it then that is fine but don't insult me be calling me a fucking WUM.

My problem isn't with your comments as such mate - during the game a wum called chesney a dickhead (amongst other things) for conceding those goals and yet people tried to rationally discuss the situation with him  I'm no shrinking violet and don't get offended by abusive language but for any fool to abuse chesney for the goals and to be allowed to do so without any rebuke from others disappoints me tbh

So calling Ches a dickhead is worse that what you call Wenger is it?

Worse than what we call Giroud, Ramsey or Gervinho. I'm sorry for having an opinion on a player you seem to hold up high or something but that is MY opinion.

Also, people tried talking to me rationally? I've never been anything but rational on here and if I haven't replied to anyone's comments it's because I'm not say at my computer all day refreshing the page.

If you want to continue calling me names though mate then PM me instead of spouting off.

I see Eric Steele ( Manure G/Keeping Coach) has left old shatford. If he was good enough for old purplenose I'm sure he could do a good job for us. :barscarf:

I think having good keepers always makes the job of a goalkeeping coach that much more reasonable
