Its a fucking shit idea. How can a cup that is effectively won by a team likely to be the 5th best in their domestic league, or one who fell out of the Group stage of the Chumpions League be rewarded with a place in the supposed prestige competition of European football. We've had Fulham and fucking Middlesbrough in the final in recent years, plus the mighty Alaves.
What a sodding joke. Just scrap this shit cup once and for all and establish a proper European league system with relegation and promotion. Domestic leagues where only one or two clubs can win it are doomed long term. The only cups I enjoy are the domestic ones where everyone from Bradford to Man United have a chance. Who is going to win the PL next season......err, one of the Manc clubs by any chance or perhaps Chelsea. And in Spain.....don't tell everyone but I think Barcelona and Real Madrid have got a chance.......and there's a whisper going round that Celtic are widely tipped to challenge in Scotland, with Porto and Benfica the dark horses in Portugal. BORING BORING FUCKING BORING
No shit CL that isn't a league at all but pretends to be one.......no domestic boring leagues - strip out the top clubs and have European Premiership and European Championship (leaving the domestic leagues to become competitive to everyone else).......and definitely scrap this wanky Europa League bollocks

yeah, i'm with flash. when we qualify for the Europa League next year, we know that if we win it in 2015, we could play CL football again.
the old system was best - the European cup, ECWC and the UEFA. all three meant something.

Are you suggesting that instead of spending barely just enough money to scrap top 4, we will now spend even less and try to qualify for champs league via europe's version of the leyland daf trophy ? kroenke and gazidas are knocking one out as we speak at the thought of making even more profits
