With the huge warchest are we really going top dollar for some seasoned premiership players, or more prospects?

They had agreed on a fixed price on the buy-back clause, believed to be between £20m-£25m, so this is basically half of the price

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Fair play to whoever negotiated that. Stroke of genius.

Oh, and I see Chelsea have all but completed the signing of Schurrle, one of the best players in the Bundesliga. Don't they know they could have saved themselves from "dizzying prices" by raiding Ajaccio or Sochaux?

I couldn't have put it better myself Dan......an honourable mention to Toulouse though where our new Ivorian 'super quality' right back will be joining from when Sagna goes to PSG or Inter
Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Does anyone else have the feeling that Wenger will be sitting and watching developments at with monkeyboy and jaws and thinking "fuck I won't need to buy any fucker to finish top 4 next season"

ONE ARSENE WENGER........THERE'S ONLY ONE ARSENE WENGER
I shall be reminding those who have been telling me that this Summer 'will definitely be the one where he spends big'
"What would you do if a wealthy owner gave you £100m to spend"
"Give it back to him"
I bet Wenger's local Primark is the best selling branch in the world - walk past the designer outlets stocking goods from Southern Europe and buy some cheaply made shit from Africa instead

How I wish for days like these. Signings that made my mouth water and couldn't wait for the new season.

Oh well, remember we left Highbury to compete with Europes elite
