I'll be eagerly looking out for that final away day in mid-May......will it be Kleenex all round at St Mary's, wet wipes at Carrow Road, or plastic pants at The Stadium of Light. Wherever it is we can be assured of a glorious 9th virtual trophy preceeding another Summer of 'spending big'

That's the great thing about football eh....the unpredictability

As of right now the optimists are winning which you wouldnt expect from reading most posts.
I picked second but if id based it on most views aired I would have said not only will we not win, we will in fact lose on the last day to finish 18th afterwhich a mighty earthquake will cause the emirates to collapse during a post season party with the only survivors being Andre Arshavin and Big Nick Bendtner carrying AW on their lopsided shoulders out of the rubble to rebuild the squad for the Championship in 14/15.This would occur after Spurs ran away with the title and became such a BIG club that Lionel Messi paid out his own fee to transfer there on a match fees only deal.....

Considering 4th has more than twice as many votes as any other position I guess we know what you're definition of "optimist" means.

I'm optimistic. There is an opportunity. I'm a strong believer in the value of a settled squad that has learnt to play together and achieve something, which I think they have in getting to 4th from the lows of being dumped out of the cups and losing at the swamp. No-one important is leaving, and you never know we might add some quality players (surely even Wenger can see we need at least one more striker).

I don't think we'll have a stronger squad than UTD, City of Chelsea but they will be unsettled. And winning the league is generally about picking up points against the lesser teams, not necessarily besting your rivals in head2heads, and that's what we did in the last 10 games. If we can keep doing that, well who knows.

I am also hoping it's Wenger's last season, however we do, even if we win the league its time for him to follow Fergie into retirement.

Isn't it just a bit early to be thinking about where we'll finish next season?

Will really need to see what happens in the window, but I do agree with those who see Wenger sitting on his hands until he qualifies for the CL. By then. I would expect that (depending on the fixtures), that we will probably not really get up and running until mid September.

So from a purely speculation on the speculation, Wenger won't buy until we qualify. Hopefully I am wrong....

Once our team is set, I will probably come up with a proper prediction.

The thing with that is how many "top" players will want to join Arsenal without qualifying for the CL? Espcially the type of names people have been chucking around.

Similar story as summer 2011. Then we'll end up with a load of nonsense on the last day of the window :barscarf:

It makes you wonder why Wenger wants to qualify for the fucking CL in the first place if he's not going to do fuck all again in the transfer window (like 2011) until it's far, far too late.

None is the answer - the top players go to the big 6 (United/City/RM/Barca/Bayern - and chelsea because they pay overs).

You mean like this season, when we picked up most of our points in the last 10 games?
