Well you have to consider the whole season, not just the last game or pick out one surely, I mean Gibbs' tackle last season was a game saver.

It's his job to put in a shift EVERY game and just because we had a decent defensive record towards the end of last season is not just down to the back 5, the midfield had a massive hand in this and so did the manager and coaches and a large dollop of luck if you ask me.

I also believe that mert was the better half of the partnership.

But hey give him a 20,000 a week pay rise cos he tackled a couple of forwards from the lower end of the table

Well he scored the two decisive goals that put the scum away.

As regards his comments, he's a quality player and has probably been tapped up by one of the big European teams (I'm suspecting Bayern). He now feels (right or wrongly) that he can hold the club to ransom and demand more. If he just wants to see the club show ambition then isn't that what we all want? It's not the first time one of our best players has expressed frustration and dismay at the club - Henry, RvP, Cesc, Nasri, even Theo and Santi all have. They're not all unappreciative *word censored* are they? There's a common theme here: the club fails to match their ambition time and time again.

I honestly don't get how it's okay for the fans to state that we want this club to show some ambition, but as soon as a player expresses their thoughts they are c***s and judas's etc.
It is quite clear that the people running this club need to sort their shit out and the players who want(ed) success are seeing that no change is likely to take place, so are threatening in a way that hurts the club most, by leaving.
However, now is not the best time for Koscielny to issue any statements regarding leaving (even though I believe the press have twisted his words) considering that he still has a remaing contract with us.

I don't get how its fine for the fans to state that they want the club to show some ambition, but as soon as a player exoresses their thoughts then they are c**** and judas's etc. It is clear that the people in charge of this club need to sort their shit out and the players are realising that no change is likley to happen anytime soon, so they are leaving to find some success, and lets bear in mind, the vast majority have.

1989, I agree with the vast majority of what you say on different threads but I cannot agree with you here - is this the same defender that was getting royally raped prior to last christmas ? Did he look a quality defender alongside tv5 ? If not then maybe his improved performances are as much if not more down to bfg than anything he is doing himself ?
There is no doubt amongst the vast majority of fans that our club no longer has any ambitions to raise any higher than we are However when players like cesc, henry and to a lesser degree rvp, mouth off about this lack of ambition then you can argue that they have earned the right to do so but kos has done nowhere near enough for our club to justify it. Conversely, when someone like lesbo nasri or greedybayor does it then you know full well it is all about the ££££ so maybe lefty is right in this case (a rarety in itself ) and it is about a payrise
