New Style Website

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yes, no wonder he didn't have time to make any other signings.....

The new design IS Utter Shyte. It looks the same as other club websites - in the same way that if you go to any of the big shopping centre's in any part of the UK - They all look the same...boring, uninteresting, tedious, banal, un-inspired....

Still that Arsenal FC - pour finances into the new website rather than sign more decent players, or give refunds to those they've ripped off with their ticket price increases...bunch of *word censored* end of.   :banghead: :box: :cussing:
Looks like a generic blog....but I think that's what brain dead mongs increasingly seem to like and respond to; that everything is the same, and is available everywhere.
Fixed that for ya, mate. It's ok - you can use the correct terminology on here. :D
stop grooming me.

If we were in prison you'd be my wife. 8)

And I'd rent you out to the whole of D Block for a bottle of homebrew and a packet of Rizla.

Website fit for a top 4 EPL Club?

Post by IrishJB »

I HATE the new style front page of our website.

I find it unacceptable that whoever is responsible for this has just changed it without consulting fans. Yes, the reasons are its to cater for the 20% or so who access via PC Tablet, iPhone etc etc

But some of us (well the vast majority) access via the ir laptop or even desktop PC's and it looks basic, err like our electrical sponsors 'Indesit' and our choice of car sponsor, not BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes but 'Citr' argghh!

We're now losing our class!

All of them are pretty poor by modern standards, but ours just looks like an amateur blog. I haven't seen what the site looks like on a tablet, but i'd imagine the redesign was with that in mind. United's is dull but functional.

I'm actually quite a fan of City's website (especially their web content and Youtube channel), i'd say that is the best of a bad bunch.

Nail on the head.

I think ours is pretty "forward" (oh God, no pun intended) and you'll probably see more websites moving towards a hybrid style over the next few years. I don't particularly like it - my first instinct was "this looks like a blog" - but admittedly it's grown a little on me.

I really dislike how the fixture list is presented though, that's the one major gripe I have. The old one was much more readable at-a-glance.

Yeah. Cue some club-wide mantra about focusing "only on the next game", bleu bleu bleu...

The new look of arsenalplc.com is poor. I wonder why they think it is better than the previous style.

I suspect Arsene did the design, development and User Acceptance Testing.

New Style Website

Not sure whether anyone else has started this topic - if so please merge.

[You actually commented on a thread about it back in February, so have merged as per your request - QuartzGooner]

But already expressed my hate for it at the 'Supporters Club' meeting in April 13. Overseas Supporters not too keen either.

Sure, they've updated it to accommodate the 25% (yes 25% that access via i devices eg ipad, iphone tablet etc), but some of us, well still the majority access via laptop ir even desktop PC's.

So do Arsenal give a shxx? the impression i got/response was not really no.

But try this accessing the other 'top 6' EPL clubs websites from a PC or laptop (best way via BBC Sport / football page ie from the table, clicking on each club).

The pleasing thing is that Spuds site (main home page) looks shxxite too :-)), but manure, citeh, toffess, scousers even chelski (which for years looked shxxite) all now look better IMO than ours.

Question is how much dosh is the fella being paid who did this to our lovely site (prev one that is)???
