SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Full article at Marca says we are in a better position than Juve: (translated with google :D)

"The English club is willing to go up to 30 million euros. This is 8 million more than Juventus has offered. Payment terms are also better. The Arsenal would be willing to pay the amount in a single run, while the Italians say up to almost five times."

skimmed this, a few things caught my eye
Fellaini not being able to play for us?! Why?
Knows the league, big strong and technically good. Can't see a prob...

and lesbian bollox in the Grauniad... surely if you've got bollox you're def not a lesbian?

Higuain would IMO be an awesome signing, the new Batistuta

All that remains then is to see whether he'll take a pay cut and accept the same wages as Walcott

Terms were already sorted out when Wenger met him and his father apparently.

Mate, I can only hope you are right. Can't remember wanting to be proved so wrong. Signing a player like Higuain.....haven't known that feeling for a decade or so now. I somehow fear its another "so close" Mata / Villa affair though.

Arsenal priority a top cf. Higuain 1st choice & keen. #Afc also want 1 holding + 1 attacking mdf. No df unless any leave. Not in for Rooney.

For those of you who seriously think we will sign Higuain or anyone else for €30m.
