Emirates Cup 2013/Galatasary and Trouble at Overseas Games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Well after winning the FA cup in 78 and 79 (somebody should tell Ipswich now that they have never won the FA cup) the tiny totts were obviously the team in world football.

What - a - crock - of - shit - interview - and - waste - of - paper - and - time.
and tell Alan Sunderland he shouldn't have bothered with that goal...

Unless he's talking about us with the "two successive FA cups" bit

Just for the 'fun' of it, I booked one for me and my old man (the king of the AKBs) just so I can be there to witness his pleasure when There's Only One Arsehole Wenker's contract has been extended for another 3 years, along with the tourists who'll be knocking themselves bandy buying all the new season 'official merchandise' from the Armoury.

He loves a celebratory BBQ does the old fella :D

Anybody else seen this? Had to salvage our Vietnam tour after we excluded some disputed territories from a map of Vietnam in our promotional video.

Imagine how many people work on our marketing etc and how much they get paid - for a huge oversight and basic fuck-up

tbf I don't think it's a basic fuck-up at all, given the dispute over those islands. Were Arsenal to give them (on the map) to Vietnamese and risk pissing off the malaysians, phillipinoes and scariest of all chinese? sod that!

edit: having said that, I am probably out of order as of course it will be Arsene's fault and I should have known better

That's pretty narrow-minded thinking. The fuck-up wasn't not showing them as Vietnamese. The fuck up was including the map showing them in the first place. If the marketing team realised that the islands were disputed surely the only sensible option would be to avoid the issue of their ownership completelyl? It's hardly as if not using a map would have made a promo video impossible.

emirates cup

for as little as £250 i.e. (ten seats in a row) in a block within camera view, ten people can wear a t shirt each with a letter on it spelling 'GAZIDIS OUT'.

They cant chuck you out/arrest you for wearing a shirt with a big letter on it.

a protest thats as 'cheap as chips' keswicks appointment

None imo. I don't like the bloke at all but he's just doing the job his employers tell him to do. He's just ensuring that the policy preferred by Kroenke and Wenger is implemented, and if he were to depart we would just see somebody else appointed to do the job in exactly the same way.

exactly. Similar argument with Wenger.
He has (many) flaws but our total budget isn't determined by the manager.

No - but he does decide how to spend it and on that basis he has fallen well short over the past few years.

how?
We've got the 4th highest wage bill and keep coming 4th...
that's not short at all, let alone "well short"
(esp when we were the only team sustaining an artificialyy high wage bill through player sales)

Now that we should have some serious money to spend
a) I think he deserves a crack at it but
b) his poor record with big money signings puts him under more pressure
