SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We on the other hand, the club with we are told the 4th highest revenues in world football- are alledgedly financially incapable of turning down a not dissimilar offer for the best striker in the world TO OUR DIRECT RIVALS. The devil is in the details, sure, RVP contract was running down, but selling to Utd at that price was an utter joke. Others would have come in for him for sure.

With our financial resources we should be bartling in the quarters, semis and final of the champions league almost every year. And yet the club acts like its a wondrous achievement just to qualify.
A blasphemer !!

You will be stoned to death (happened to IHH apparently) for not comparing Wenger to Jehovah.

I have half a notion that Vermaelen will play the DM role in the season ahead. I have no firm foundation for this belief other than my own deluded mind.

Wasn't the sky meant to fall in if we failed to finish top 4? We wouldn't be able to attract big names or splash the cash around in the transfer market (snigger  ). So we duly finish fourth and buy a dud crock from France while the spuds finish 5th and splurge 20 million quid on a Brazilian international.

It's all about Top 4 folks, roll up roll up. CRETINS TO A MAN AT ARSOLE FC. :banghead:

Menwhile the twats up the road have all but signed Paulinho for £17m. Why the fuck-piss have we not picked this boy up? Is it coz we didn't finish in the top 4?..oh.....

Has Higuain signed yet? I hope to all that's holy that this one is still on, as the delay is starting to annoy.

I think we're balking at the 75 quid transfer fee, Dick(Head) Law is holding firm at £70 and Abou Diaby's left boll0ck 8)

I just don't see it. Vermaelen will resume his place on the bench or go to Barcelona, in my opinion.

The fact we apparently made that bid for Lars Bender shows Wenger knows he needs someone in and around central/defensive mid.

Any chance we can keep this thread as just a transfer rumour thread and get another one for discussing or in the case of this thread byaaatching about transfer rumours.

No offence but | have to scroll through all the byatching to find McD 42's vital and totally non-BS rumours.......it's stopping me from getting through more important things like scratching my nuts, picking my nose, looking at corkbarry's NSFW thread
