Have to admit I didn't try Oirish stew until I was about 15 and we moved back here from Australia. Strangely it is actually quite difficult to get decent sausages (steady GayJay!
) in Oireland. Vast majority are just shit (sometimes literally!! 
). I much prefer your Engerlish sausage (no Oirish woman, or indeed Engerlish woman, has EVER said THAT!
