BSM SURVEY RESULTS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Joined them some time back but am very disappointed to find that they are just another group that would rather blame the board for all our ill's rather than take on the real issue that is an over-powerful,underperforming and arrogant manager  :(

The most reassuring bit was the answer to question 16, where 66% odd percent would rather win a real trophy than a made up one. Thank fuck for that - the Be All And End All Chumpions League muppets are in the minority

Really?

They're not the BSM any more you know.

They're the BSM, how the fuck did this one get hold of and tag onto the hood, its not like he's got a goal scoring against a Mackem foot on his body. But hey ho, sign his ass up, couldn't be any worse than Spudmasher.

That's 66% of the 3500 people that responded to the survey, mate. 2310 people then. I reckon that number probably includes 90% of the total people that actually want Wenger and Ivan etc gone and is still far outweighed by the number of sheep in the Bowl that believe a "strong financial model and CL football every season" is just as good as winning a trophy... because Arsene says so. :|

We would all love to have an electric atmosphere at the grove on a regular basis but fcuk me is that the biggest issue fans have at the mo ? Tbh I cringe everytime I read about a club, any club, trying to introduce "singing sections" into their ground - for the atmosphere to be good, does it not require all sections of the support to be involved somewhat ? What happens to the fans that want to sing and cant get seated in that area ? If they start singing in a different section, are they gonna be told by other fans that if they wanted to sing then they should be in another area of the ground ? Even if that doesnt happen, what hope will the few singers in that section have of generating an atmosphere in that area of the ground ? For me if the atmosphere in stadiums to improve then safe standing areas have to be introduced and the singing section should be the whole end of the lower stand behind the goals - "allowing or facilitating" this proposal by allowing small sections designated for singing in the corners of the ground will do fcuk all for the atmosphere imo
It does make me smile though, when I see fans who oppose the idea of a another fan amongst them with a megaphone generating an atmosphere citing it to be "artificial" or some such description, and then support the idea of singing sections - how is one idea any more artificial than the other ? :?

I cancelled my membership of the BSM - I have yet to see any evidence of ANY fans group tackling the real issues holding our club back (manager, the board etc) and until I see some group standing up and tackling the meaty issues then I will not support them. For me all these fans groups are vanilla so I'm not just picking on BSM, but it does seem to me that the BSM have the support of the older fans based on nostalgia more than anything else. I wont support a political party whose agenda is the different than mine so why should this situation be any different ?

"In a bid to maximise team spirit in his squad, Arsène Wenger recently decided to re-establish the tradition of wearing team suits - proper suits, not tracksuits - to games on match days."

One of the best decisions he's made in ages.....

With everything else that needs addressing I can't believe so much energy goes into worrying about a fucking singing section in the ground

A point I made earlier in this thread - it's no wonder the club treat the fans with so much disdain when all we can focus on is extending a poxy singing section for all the akb to sing songs of praise in honour of their beloved leader  :banghead:
