Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
O.k, I would like to direct you to the comments section at the bottom of this link below. One of the comments says "Oh God another 8 years of mediocrity. Can't believe the amount of people who are happy about this. The club is in dire need of a shake up from top to bottom but obviously we have a lot longer to wait. I will be jacking in my season ticket as of next year. Enough is enough". This is exactly how I feel and how the majority of this forum feel is needed for success, but just look at the likes/dislikes for this comment, The are many more dislikes than likes, which just shows how deluded the majority of our fans are that Wenger is going to change any time soon.

As usual, you're quite right Augie.augie wrote:I know most wont agree but I quite like the Away Boyz song "wayne bridge's bird"

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
I see Wenger is talking about "quality, not quantity" again - never heard that one before
It's a good thing he's in charge, because if I was given money to spend, I'd divide it up and spunk money up the wall on Gervinho, Grioud and co. rather than signing one top class player.

They are Golden Delicious - Le Crunchwho the fuck invited the apples?
Arsene Wanger wanted something French on the BBQ menu!!

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
So i've just seen this on my facebook feed...

I used to work with this bloke. Nice guy, but total AKB. Apparently Wenger getting a contract extension is on a par with the birth of family members
"So long as we're competing". Hmmm, didn't we move stadium to apparently "compete with Europe's elite"? Not spurs, Everton, Liverpool etc. Wenger is "consistent"? You're right there. Currently the AFC manager with the longest trophyless run and just the one season away from overseeing the longest barren period in the history of the club.
I also like the AKB excuse that the reason we never win anything is down to luck. Of course it couldn't have anything to do with Wenger could it? After 8+ trophyless years, various teams, personnel & players, at what point do you identify the common denominator throughout that period and put 2+2 together?

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
So, when Wenger does finally give up his 7million a year job as Arsenal manager (and he only asks for that because he loves the club so much you understand, not because its the most cushy managerial super salary in the world) how many years will he have been without a single trophy? It could well be ten years plus, maybe eleven or twelve. I think you might shitting on your legacy just a little bit there, Arsene. Still, 7million a year, Im sure he won't be crying himself to sleep.
Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
His managerial run from 2007 could turn into one of the great (sic) modern day swindles!! The Arsenal board have been completely hoodwinked by Wanger and his buddy in arms (Gazidis) who are clearly supporting each other to maintain complete power at the club. It's actually quite funny that they are getting away with it. *
* It's funny now that I don't give a penny towards Arsenal FC at all.
