That Bubbly gone a bit flat hasnt it 1989 ,still I have to admit your sources really knew their stuff didn't they ?

Suarez has no real interest in joining another Champions League/Premiership /FA Cup/ League cup also ran outfit but will use Arsenal to stoke other peoples fire most likely Madrid .
Similarly Arsenal FC had no real interest in Buying him either but are using it to try and soften Real Madrids price on Higuain and to push them towards Suarez so we can get Higuain !
Higuain will use either situation to get more money in his pocket either by joining us or getting a pay rise from Real.

The Suns comment that Arsenal have yet to make a bid for Suarez says it all, however MoneyBall Gazidis, tactics ( for it is he behind all this shit right now) could backfire as if Madrid have to cough up more for Suarez because of Arsenals Pseudo interest then we will in turn have to pay more for Higuain !

Confused ? No its all part and parcel of modern day Wengerball !

Everything counts in large amounts !

Taken from Red Gunner's post.

"If you look closely, it looks to me that there are very high transfers now," Wenger said. "There is a dual speed now. A very high level or no level at all. That's a big, worrying truth. Until now [this summer] you had £40m, £50m, £60m [fees] or nothing at all. It's been under £10m or around the big numbers. I don't think that's very healthy."

Now, I have tried google translate and to no avail.
Please explain what he means.

Fucking lunatic.

Ulises Sánchez-Flor. Madrid 07/12/2013

Real Madrid has three days left before the start of the pre-season and Gonzalo Higuaín will more than likely participate in the first training session. The Argentine will also undergo the customary medical check-ups, just like any other player in the squad and, if nothing else changes in the immediate future, looks set to play the first three games: Bournemouth (21st July), Olympique de Lyon (24th) and Paris Saint Germain (27th).

There's nothing new on the horizon for Higuaín. Perhaps the only novelty is that the player, who said at the end of the season that his time at Real Madrid had come to an end, now accepts that there is a strong chance he will form part of Carlo Ancelotti's team.

The other important development is that on Monday 15th July, the first meeting could take place between Florentino Pérez and the player. Ever since 'El Pipita' said he wanted a change of scene, the forward and the chairman haven't spoken to each other. The latter is looking to discuss the situation face-to-face.

A meeting looks to be on the cards and might help to clear the air. Higuaín will have the chance to explain his reasons for saying what he did and wanting to leave when he still has three years left on his contract.

One of the underlying causes of his dissatisfaction is undoubtedly linked to his being blamed every time the team loses, together with the lack of recognition he gets after playing an active role in team victories.

He's saying you can buy under 10m or above 40m but it is difficult to land anything in between. ie his excuse for not spending is that he doesnt want any of the sub 10m players and all the ones he wants he thinks should be in the 10-25m range but he cant land them unless he stumps up 40m plus. Arshavin still remains our record at 15m or so i believe.
Anyway that's what i thought he meant - neither an endorsement nor a criticism.

You would however think that someone apparently with an economics background would understand the impact of supply and demand on price.......

I'd rather we sign Papiss Cisse http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... z2YxqbHpoj than cannibal Suarez. Principals and class.

Yes, if Wenger actualy signed a grub like Suarez then he could no longer hold the high moral ground.
It's a shame though because i was dead keen on us getting him before he went to Liverpool. Good player but the baggage! Having said that, his resell value is incredibly resilient despite his stupidity.

Personally I feel that demba ba is a better and more available player - cisse scores more spectacular goals but ba is more consistant in his scoring and just appears to me to be more of a striker in the traditional mode

I think the Suarez situation give his racism charge, shows a real lack of sensitivity towards the huge number of black fans that support Arsenal.
I would be interested to know how any of the black guys on here feel about it, could you ever applaud Suarez were he to become a success at Arsenal?

"Oi, Wenger! Sign some world class players yeah?! What's that, Rooney and Suarez? Oh no, we don't want those scamps thank you very much."

All this bitching over Suarez makes me laugh. Are there really people out there who would pass up on one of the best players in Europe because he doesn't meet our strict moral standards? And where has this image of "squeaky clean" AFC come from? The main outcry i've seen against us signing Suarez seems to have come from the foreign supporters clubs, who've only been following us under Wenger and have somehow acquired this image of us as football's moral guardians. Yet, in the past couple of decades we've had players banned for 9 games (unprecedented at the time) for breaking a guy's jaw, locked up for drink driving, snorting coke yet we all cheer(ed) for them and love them like heroes. Had social media/twitter been around in the early 90s would we all be villifying TA, Merse, Paul Davis etc?

I'm not in any way condoning racism or biting players, but are we seemingly more accepting of the crimes of the Arsenal players mentioned above? Where then is the line of acceptability drawn? Football whored itself out a long time ago, the "all good friends and jolly company" mentality of days past is long gone and taking the moral high ground is getting us nowhere other than a top four scrap with spurs. Time to play a bit dirtier.

Simply, I wanna see the best players at Arsenal and it seems ludicrous to skip over players because they have history. I'd like to think that we could offer someone like Suarez a clean slate, but ensure that he's told in no uncertain terms to cut the crap out. If in a few years time it becomes clear that he's still trouble and is having a bad effect on us, then fair enough, sell him on. However, i'm sure in that time he would have won us a fair amount of vital points.

I hate Suarez with a passion, don't want him at arsenal.

However if he then scored 30 goals and helped us win something (without biting maiming or abusing anyone) I could happily admit I was wrong.
It would be a fantastic story if he were to become a well respected player, however I just can't see it. We won't buy him and he will always be a utter c unt.

Well said Dan. The ridiculous attitude of some Arsenal fans is astounding. EVERYONE should be excited if we get Suarez.
