Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Oh the immense pride and sense of achievement BillyBigBollox will get running out onto that hallowed Hull turf. From London to Turin to Hull; the 'best striker in the world's' career just moves ever upwards.

Tomas, you have quite obviously not worked in football for 30 years, with these new fangled concepts of yours.

Don't you know that it is imperative to have a few highly paid players, that you cannot sell on, who do not contribute to the team / squad and just sit about on their big fat arses, collecting their highly inflated wages ?
Spot on. The only logical way of running a football club is to have all of your players either paid far too much so you can never move them on or paid far too little so they get poached by higher paying clubs.

The worst of every possible world and by far the main thing wrong with the running of AFC

no just comparing the we are all going to be murdered in our beds hype of no goal nicholas bendtner
with the never had a bad game is,nt he wonderful alan shearer
bendtner has arsenal connections
shearer is the top premier league goalscorer but he is not getting hung out to dry on 404 mins without a goal
there are reasons to castigate nik
his non goalscoring display in less than 5 games of football are not 1 of them

Bendtner is castigated because he's useless, this is just a humorous stick to beat him with. People don't think he's shit because he didn't score last season, people think he's shit because he is shit.

I see your point but adding a bit of context Nicky B is nowhere near good enough for us, decided to go out on loan to another club far above him rather than moving on with his career (because it would mean a wage cut) and failed to contribute anything all season. Alan Shearer have one particularly barren spell in between bagging over 200 goals at Newcastle...

who held a gun to our head and made us give bendtner his contract?
we did it ourselves
the wage structure at the club is farcicle
we should be paying top players top dollar with the up and coming players told you can improve your wage if you earn it
if we see bendtner as no longer fit for purpose and cannot sell him because of the wage then pay him up to the end of the contract and learn from the mistake.
along with the fabregas rvp situation i am sick to death of the victim mentality at the club
i,m also sick to death of *word censored* like darren gough poking fun at the arsenal buying the 1 and only nicholas bendtner juventus shirt.for thats what its all about
its about having a pop at the arsenal
if its not deemed that relevent that bendtner did,nt score for juve why say it?
and i used alan shearers most recent goal drought as an example it was,nt his only or longest
he went without scoring in 404 mins 20 times

Jesus if you can't understand why people think it's funny that Nicklas Bendtner - an arrogant prick who has talked up his own ability beyond belief, believes that he is seriously undervalued at AFC and that it's only the club and circumstances that have prevented him from fulfulling his self-declared potential - failed to contribute anything in a whole season on loan, you must really lack a sense of humour.

FTM,

You sir, are a legend - have a virtual medal (from AFC's trophy cabinet, no less) and 500 internet points. :barscarf:

Nic 'pink boots' Bendtner - a legend on his own PlayStation.
