As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
My first attendance at an Arsenal pre-season game. Crazy atmosphere. Seemed to me one minute people were singing Arsenal songs then next minute chanting In-do-nee-sia. Was wearing my replica top (good choice for humid sweaty environment) which I would never do in UK. But that meant I had at least 20 locals come and ask to have their photo taken with me and my Rangers supporting colleague. Felt like a celeb. Could have told them my last name as well but i don't think they would have got the reference to a former left-footed Arsenal legend.
Tried to start a "Stand up if you hate Tottnumb" but no one joined in. Not true gooners

The Indonesians like the Malays will cheer both teams ,they like Arsenal but they are also Patriotic ,they see no problem with cheering both,Its kind of cute .
Hanoi will be different as we are playing the National team not a dream team and the Viets ,are known to get quite noisy and passionate ,and have even been known to riot if they lose .
Was at the game in Jakarta, enjoyed a few beers with some lads who had travelled over from London
Atmosphere was kinda different to typical game in Indonesia, different crowd.
Most Indonesians still follow their local team, big football culture which gets aped by other countries in the region, while most of those at this game would have been interested only in the Arsenal. Likewise when Chelsea or Liverpool come...day out for face painters and instagram ers but they don't know any local songs beyond In Do Ne Sia
