Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
I went from being a person who just wanted Wenger out to now hating the lying bastard and here is the thing: A lot of people who support Wenger don't see his complicity in the whole charade of the 'oh we have money' to the fans year after year after year. And now we are in another window and yet the same story unfolds and the muppets in charge are going to give him a new contract?!
Now he is in the press saying how there is a lack of choice in the market? Seriously - why do we continue to employ this man?? We are nowhere near title challengers and if anything are still the most vulnerable to drop out of the top 4 (not that that ever mattered), but still Le FuckFace still keeps his hands in his pockets.
I wish I had hindsight because I would chucked my season ticket in this year rather than next.

If the stupid c.unt was aware of the shortage of players in th market then why didnt he do his business early like some of us mooted ? Higuain available, fellaini reasonably priced purchase clause, david villa and cesar publicly confirmed by their clubs as being on the market and yet this prick (wenker) sits on his hands doing sweet fcuk all and then goes on a commercial jolly up in which he will no doubt tell our asian fans that they are far better fans than the rest of us

Ivan the gimp before the window even opened -
“We will strive to get our business done early,” he said. “Last year we looked at what was done two seasons ago, which is certainly not something we would ever choose to go through again.”
Oh dear

Agree totally with Aug's on fatboy Shrek.
also, awarding reading comprehension fails to some on here
Wenger said we COULD pay Rooney's wages (I don't believe him BTW)
then several other players carry us through the season whilst on 20-30% of that
- they will all, quite reasonably, expect raises. Unsustainable

the reason we can't is because if we have a fat no mark on quarter of a mill a weekAFCasap wrote:thisBournemouthRED wrote:I don't want Rooney, but you gotta love his logic haven't you!?
Doesn't want to pay Rooney 200k a week but happy to pay diaby, arshavin, squilachi, chamakh probably the same if not more in combined wages a week for literally doing nothing!this logic is one of the main reasons why wenger (if he wasn't so tight with his Ponzi scheming boardmates) should have been frogmarched out of the club years ago

So tell me JD how many games did that great bunch of players listed above play over the last 2 seasons? If they get the hump with someone coming in (and I don't want Rooney btw) on much larger wages than them and they get pissed off, who fucking cares, it's not as though they're ripping up trees on the large wage that they're on (or were on in AA's case)highburyJD wrote:Agree totally with Aug's on fatboy Shrek.

Now lets get one thing straight. Suarez is not a good example of a professional football player. He has let Liverpool FC down on a number of occasions and has cost them in important matches by getting sent off. On one hand he is a great goalscorer but on the other he is a liability. Imagine we are in the Champ League knock out stages and he decides to bite Ronaldo on his arse.
He gets sent off and we lose the game. Its the biggest gamble both in money and reputation. I would prefer a professional like Higuain to join us instead.

Like his last game for Argentina were he was sent off . Real are just taking the piss time to leave him alone all though he was the player I wanted at Arsenal

don't think there's much danger of those four ever playing another game for Arsenal...franksav63 wrote:So tell me JD how many games did that great bunch of players listed above play over the last 2 seasons? our 'English core' the club uses to market everything at the mo, are each on between 20-40% of Shrek's wages
if they are demonstrably more important for Arsenal (and England) than Rooney, the fact he earns three times more would obviously be an issue
Shrek isn't good enough to justify his wage.

IF, and thats a big if, but if we were ever interested in higuain then that interest has def ended without a doubt - if we were convinced about him then we would have done the deal but the fact is that napoli are cash happy now and will without doubt drive the asking price up which will reinforce wenkers refusal to meet the price
