SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

it must be a fricking joke.... can't be that stupid, could we?

this transfer window drives me nuts!!!
If not this season then Santi will be gone next. Another easily predicted one that I called a few months ago.

Still, it'll be a £100m warchest that we'll be told to trust Lord Wenger with next Summer

According to Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo:

"We have no news of Cazorla. These are invented stories that are made up every day."

I can't see it happening but If we do sell Cazorla, we better be signing Mata or Fabregas.

if compare player and skills and position, it would be Mata........but he slipped under the radar once...don't think he would be interested in a move

I have to admit I do see the funny side to all this. 'We have 80m to spend. We can pay 250k a week blah blah blah' Now our biggest hope is Caz stays. Same old service resumed.

Not sure if he'll flop, time will tell but it's another 'target' we were heavily linked with scratched off the list. Reckon we'll end up with an 11th hour bid for Papiss Cisse as our only significant piece of buisness this summer.

So glad we left Highbury to 'compete' with Europe's best. :?

Citeh will flop as a team....Pellegrin couldn't manage the big egos at Real Counts...must say that there are many egos at Citeh

At least with Chelsea and City buying a few £15m+ players between them Wenger has his excuses about self-sustainability and dizzying prices in the market lined up.

Our transfer policy does more to make us a laughing stock than any barren trophy run could.

And just when we thought things couldn't get so bad - Andre Santos has left Arsenal are cancelling his contract with the club.

The Brazilian, who spent last season on loan at Gremio, had wanted to remain in his homeland.

After ending his deal at Arsenal he has now agreed a two-year deal at Flamengo, who will own 50% of his economic rights, with the player himself owning the other 50%.

It had been thought that another loan would be in the offing but the left-back was able to cancel his contract at the Gunners and passed a medical at his new club ahead of the Brazilian transfer deadline on July 20.
