As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I agree with SteveO and Augie , if you really believe the crap in the papers you are a mug . At the end of the window Wenger will tell you he was in for the star names and he tried his best ! Still Billy Bentner will be like a new sigining !
DON't believe the shite we are not spending 70 mill on new players ever !!!!!!!!!
I laughed when i read that we wanted to sign hazard before he joined Chelsea. I laughed harder when I read that we wanted to sign Higuain. Now I almost fell off my chair when I read that we have increased our bid for Suarez to £40million. C'mon does anyone really believe a scrooge like wenger will spend more than 15 or 20 million on a player
I'd love to see Higuain come to the Emirates, loathe to see that buck toothed cannibal on the books. Arsenal have more class than Suarez. Bernard is a good player but I'd rather have seen some cash splash on a defender or central attacker. Even an enforcing holding midfield would have been better than a winger where we already have Dolski, Walcott, Ox and possibly a well suited position for Santi. There's also quality youth players like Ryo and Gnabry "waiting in the wings" so to speak.
Assuming we will spend in the region of 70mil and -21mil for Bernard, we have 45mil to cash. I'd see it spent on a quality striker (Higuain or a a vet like Roberto Soldado). I can foresee Aarom Ramsey really stepping up as a def midfielder this season and while his lack of height isn't ideal, he possesses the ball so well and Arsenal typically hold the advantage in possession. Just need a goal hawk to poach some of the rebounds from the opportunistic goal efforts from a midfield boasting threats like Santi, Wilshere, Theo and now Bernard(or Podolski).

Welcome to the forum
I agree with all that you say my friend apart from the bit about Ramsey keeping holding of the ball well

Really? Monumental assumption to make that flies in the face of all prior evidence and is based on the same basic tabloid 'war chest' story that has been printed every window for the last 3 or 4 years, being proven wrong every time. This Bernard fella is our fourth or fifth 'done deal' so far.
Of all the flaws to highlight Ramsey's height is an odd one. Exact same height as Roy Keane - and ask Claude Makelele if he thinks height is an important characteristic for a defensive midfielder.
Also 'Dolski' is maybe the worst shortening of a name I've ever seen. Otherwise welcome to the forum
Bernard at £21m is too much, he was blowing after 10 mins in the Brasil Vs England friendly and told Scolari it was the most demanding football he's played.
By all accounts a very promising player but the pace of the English league would be a massive culture shock.
We should've signed Paulinho anyway, can't believe he's gone to the swamp-dwellers.
All getting horrible now. City, Chelsea ,Liverpool etc done their business already, time to integrate players etc. Could weep with frustration that we have done nothing yet give it the big one ''we are in the market''. Hope i'm proved wrong but I expect to be disappointed....again.
watching that vid (we're all good on youtube) made me think of Limpar a little
it also made me think we should make a youtube compilation of all the top strippers in London - and send it to Ronaldinho
one last champions league hurrah for Ronnie? We could get him a starting spot in the Brazil team...
