Yes, live 4 or 5 times and on telly loads.
For Chelski and for Spain. He's not just off form, he doesn't even look like a footballer anymore.

So just how did he manage to score 22 goals for Chelsea which - I reiterate as you appear to have ignored it - was more than Giroud scored for us last season?highburyJD wrote:Yes, live 4 or 5 times and on telly loads.

I presume one of the viewing occasions was when he made Koscielny look a complete prat at our place when they beat us 2-1. He looked a bit more of a footballer that day than the hod carrier from Montpellier who spurned the chance to level it up just before the endI Hate Hleb wrote:So just how did he manage to score 22 goals for Chelsea which - I reiterate as you appear to have ignored it - was more than Giroud scored for us last season?highburyJD wrote:Yes, live 4 or 5 times and on telly loads.

Torres is terrible, imagine Giroud and Torres in the same team. Why would someone do such a thing
Torres and Ba are probably the biggest reason why Chelsea could only finish a few pts ahead of us. They have very good players, defenders and midfielders with very very average strikers.

I don't understand why we don't just pay 28-30m for Higuain. 22m was ridiculously cheap in this market. He is world class and would easily bang in 20 goals. Even if he didn't do it for us there would be clubs after him because they know he's quality. Just pay the money and get this over with. I mean whats the better deal 60m for Cavani or 28m for Higuain? Just cough up.

Don't you know you're supposed to make a derisory offer of about half to two thirds what the player is worth. Then haggle and moan when it's not accepted before giving up after wasting a month, then purchase a player who plays in the same position from France for half of the original bid that you made for the first player = player signed and money in the bank! Ker-ching.

The problem we have is that Real Madrid really like the bloke and have done for ages. Yep they've changed managers but when they come calling then like 90% of South Americans he will favour them over us. If we did by some miracle bid over 40m for him, I would expect Madrid to up their game and close out the deal1989 wrote:Martin Charquero @MartinCharquero 22m

Are you taking anything for the sunstroke you are obviously suffering from
Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
Seriously we will not sign a quality striker . Suarez will stay or go to Madrid . Higuain will go somewhere like Liverpool perhaps part of the deal . Rooney to Chelsea. Wenger will say how good Giroud has been pre season and he is like a 30 mill striker!
The same crap happens every year

Dunno about Madrid, they seem more interested in Bale and Ancelotti wants Ibrahimovic too. All the noise about Suarez going to Madrid seems to have come from the player himself earlier in the summer.SteveO 35 wrote:The problem we have is that Real Madrid really like the bloke and have done for ages. Unless they sell Higuain they won't be signing a striker. They need funds as they have already splashed out big money on Isco, Illaramendi and Carvajal.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
While I'd have preferred Lewandowski, I'd have welcomed Higuain, but I'm now starting to get worried.
Madrid can't rely on Benzema and I suspect they would only sell Higuain if they can get Suarez (his ban wouldn't be carried over to La Liga), which is by no means certain. It would certainly explain the delay and may explain the increase in price. Madrid are big spenders, but they've already coughed up a lot. If Suarez stays at the Victims and Ancelotti tells Higgy he loves him I'm sure he'll stay.
Which leaves who on the market? We may end up not buying a striker because there's nobody better than Giroud available (a frightening prospect).
So, while I don't think he's great I'm starting to think we should consider Soldado. He'll definitely be available at a reasonable price because Valencia are all but bankrupt and I'm sure he'd prefer us to the Scum. It would also leave the swampdwellers with nobody to sign and forced to keep Adebarndoor. He's strong enough for the PL and is a reliable, if not spectacular goalscorer.

Soldado wouldn't win us the league, Suarez would.

I don't suppose anybody has considered that Real Madrid would be well aware that the scum are also in the market for a new striker, so Higuain and a sack full of cash and monkey boys off to Spain. Just a thought.
