Whats with all the Ryo Miyaichi fuss? having him sit in at a press conference, albeit in Japan.
If he is in the starting XI v Villa we are in f****ing trouble.
Out on loan before September without a doubt.

Apparently today United were playing some Japanese team and the home coverage was all Kagawa - they even managed to give him man of the match despite playing less than half an hour

I really look forward to the day that one of these japanese/korean/chinese players becomes a star player in the premier league cos it still pisses me off that every player bought from those countries is dismissed as a marketing ploy I watched inamoto play and while he was no world beater, he was certainly as good as hillier and selley imo. These days I watch ryo play and see the potential for a pacy and dynamic winger who in a better system under a better manager could really flourish but in a 4-5-1 system he is never going to be a success.
Again I have no problem with fans writing him off but do so on the basis of his ability instead of his nationality

On the basis of his ability, he was not very impressive at Bolton or Wigan, so why should I assume he is suddenly a class act? bracket with Santos, Park, Squillaci, and all the rest, as inferior but Wenger still needs convincing.

I thought he was injured for the whole time he was at Wigan. Wasn't yesterday the first time he'd played for us?
To be fair the kid is still very young and hasn't had the opportunities due to injury to show whether he'll be up to it or not. If we sell 'cling-on' and don't sign an obvious replacement then there is a chance Ryo might be included in the first team squad. Failing that, another season out on loan - preferably in the PL with a team that will utilise him - seems to be the likely outcome. I'm certainly not prepared to write him off just yet.

Well, with the imminent signing of Bernard, his chances at Arsenal will only decrease further.
