Very good player but

- Trouble!

He gets bans.
He gives away too many fouls.
He may not be a card carrying KKK member but his racial bias is questionable, and in our squad, how is that gong to work?
I want Higuain.
Didn't seem to have any problems co-existing with the likes of Sturridge, Johnson, Sterling and Wisdom

Well he'd likely be missing for most of the season with his record, so he'd fit in well at the club.

I don't think he's a racist by the way. He called Evra (*word censored*) a term that gets used to refer to black people without causing any offense in places like Uruguay. I'd put it down more to cultural differences.

Ive heard this crap too but yes he still is a racist , I do not want him at the club !

Agree 100% - by saying what he said it doesnt necessarily make him racist and he could have been saying it to wind upcuntbag evra but pleae dont spout any bullshit about "cultural differences"  The N word is known across the world for the racist comment that it is intended to be and uruguay isnt some backwater shithole that nobody has ever been to and even knows where it is

On the wider issue I have to say that I am unsure whether I feel we should sign him or not - on one hand he is a world class finisher which is something we badly badly need but on the other hand what good will he be if he spends half his time being suspended ? I do absolutely believe that he will view us as a stepping stone and will be away within 2 years although, given the "selling club/no ambition" vibes our club sends out, I am not sure I could blame any player for thinking like that :(
I am also of the feeling that buying higuain and cesar for 30m and using that surplus 10m towards a top class DM would be a better move - if we were really just a top striker away from being a winning club again then I could absolutely get behind spending 40m on one player but sadly we have a few needs and addressing one will not make a huge on it's own

No because he will likely be suspended for more games than he plays.

BTW does anyone seriously believe AW is going to spend £40+m on one player?

Not a chance. Imagine if he put in a transfer request and they accepted it - we'd have to offer him £40k a week to make sure he didn't come!

Great player but a liability. Voted no.
Agree with Quartz - if he does well for us he'll just bite somebody and secure his move to Real Madrid.
He shafted Ajax and Liverpool, I see absolutely no reason to believe he won't shaft us.

I also go to Uruguay quite a lot - the 'cultural differences' excuse is a joke

No thank you....

This is the type of character of player we dont need. In the past we would never have been associated with this sort of player, who's been in the headlines for all sorts...

If youve done wrong we would not have even enterained the idea, let alone put in a bid, and it stinks ....

Our club once had a moral standing....not anymore....

Sign him up - Wrighty had the same bad boy attitude and was the most exciting player for his time. Always in the papers for the wrong reasons. Loved his attitude while other supporters hated it (so called chip on shoulder).
Just want to see some passion and he definitely has that. Dont see him as as bad as some other PL players myself although maybe thats not a good barometre to judge.
Think he will be a hit if he signs which I am not convinced he will at all.

Hahahahahaha, good one pal.

Of course sign him. All this 'he'll be suspended' thing is nonsense as well. Should we have sold PV4 because he was banned for loads of games? You can't keep using that against signing him. That's a theory. What if he isn't banned for those games?

He's a world class striker. It beggars belief that anybody wouldn't want him. I wonder how many will be saying this if he rifles one in the top corner on his debut

Have your own view by all means but it's bollocks to say it beggars belief that people wouldn't want him given his rap sheet. You speak for yourself fella, not everyone.

Absolutely YES. He's improved with each season and frankly he's been charged with all the shit things whilst at Liverpool. Hopefully, he's learned from that and will now get on with becoming a top 5 world striker. Anyone remember his goal line save at the last world cup??? Apart from his goalscoring, creative ability anyone with a passion like that can only benefit a team, which apart from Jack, seem to be lacking that aggressive desire needed to win the premiership.

I was gutted we didn't sign him 3 years ago.
