SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

translated from Danish newspaper BT:

It's the other way around. Arsenal would like to buy the Spanish back for an overall package of 1.7 million euros-approximately 12.75 million dollars-plus Nicklas Bendtner.
Here learns BT.dk that Malaga is open to the idea, but the rears of the Dane's wage demands are in the Armory is located at 2.8 million £ as the basic amount.
When Nicklas Bendtner earlier in the summer in first place was on speech in Malaga ran aground just salaries issue and dialogue on that Arsenal did not want to pay a share of the Dane's salary until 2014, where his salary with the English expires.
It bleeds Arsenal now up and will pay the difference between the approximately 1,4 £ million , like Malaga can offer in basic salary and Nicklas Bendtners current hire in the UK.

Hopefully he is off!!!

Would that mean that Sagna is gone or is to play CB?

Maybe there will actually be some anti-Wenger sentiment at the ground if we are still striker-less (and quality signing-less) and get turned over by the Scum at home at the end of Aug.

We HAD RVP for years - we didn't win a thing.
In my view due to a lack of quality in the back third. If we had him back - probably the best striker in the world - we still wouldn't win anything for that very reason.

because we lacked quality in other areas, now we lack quality in all areas and more alarmingly up top with no signs of a world class striker coming in.

I don't think any one player (Messi or Ronaldo aside) would be enough to put us in contention for PL and CL - but this side plus van Judas would be far far better than the 2011/12 shambles and it would be a huge improvement on what we've got. As it stands our attacking options are just miles off United and City and quite probably Chelsea too.

And we didn't have a fit and world class van Judas for years - we had him for 18 months. Add van Judas of the last two seasons to that 2007/08 side and he would have probably carried us over the line when Adebayor stopped scoring, Eduardo's leg was in bits and we couldn't buy a win after the Birmingham fiasco.

I would happily make some personnel improvements in the defence (AND KEEPER!!!) but I think our manager and tactics are more of a problem. We could spend £150m on a back line and we still wouldn't be as solid as we were under Graham or the first half of Wenger's reign.

As I said previously despite showing some quality and attrition at either ends in bits, I'm not convinced we're capable of doing both in the same game.

Second best in the league. Keep hearing criticism of our defence.
Was defending that scrabbled us into the CL.
Seems obvious to me we need at least one forward. Two if Sanogo isn't ready immediately.
Been a hole in our squad for two seasons.
Seems to me that we can only defend properly to the detriment of our attacking play. Games where we defended very well were pretty much all backs to the wall after we'd nicked a goal. Games where we went out and played some good stuff going forward, we tended to look shambolic.

I'm struggling to think of many games where you can say we were very impressively both defensively and going forward. Anybody disagree?
We may have been second best defence but that's in a poor defensive year. We defend well when everyone digs in and yes that stymies our attack BUT it should be the reverse. If we had a defensive 6 (DM, Gk and back 4) capable of a low 20 goals season then our front 5 would be confident to play and dare I say it we'd still have RVP and titles.
