Re: Galatasaray thread
i heard mourinho wants drogba back at chelsea. here's hoping that it doesnt happen because the guy is still a beast and world class.
Re: Galatasaray thread
criticising the ox shouldn't be controversial. He English so he gets some extra leeway, but I've said before if the kids are good enough they'll make it, fed up protecting kids by not signing the quality players we need.
Re: Galatasaray thread
Giroud resumes his transformation into 'Le Chapman' as soon as he sets foot on UK soil. I reckon he is like Clark Kent or something with the notable exception that his transformation is a negative one.rodders999 wrote:Surely a statement like that is enough to get a guy sectioned?bradpiff wrote:Wenger: “If you can give me names that are better than who we have, I am ready to talk about it."
However, I am holding out hope that Wenger will leave this year, so I am coming to look at the upcoming season as a pantomime play. At this rate, I just can't see us qualifying for the CL in our games in a couple of weeks. If we don't, Wenger won't spend and fans will really start booing. A fitting end really.
Re: Galatasaray thread
If Drogba was blindfolded and had his hands tied behind his back he would still score against us for fucks sake.

Re: Galatasaray thread
Sad fact is we will get fourth and and will get into the champions league group stages that is our current level and seems will remain that way
Re: Galatasaray thread
usually I'm optimistic but I have a feeling that, after the 2 games, that it will be a long season......I am coming over for the Villa game from Denmark...Christ!!!

Yeah, I thought he made Mertesacker look a little silly really1989 wrote:If Drogba was blindfolded and had his hands tied behind his back he would still score against us for fucks sake.![]()

Drogba's movement for his 2nd goal didn't even have to be that great. He took a couple of steps and was completely free in our box

It was too easy, and all a little pathetic from such an experienced defender

Re: Galatasaray thread
What about Miquel
Absolute rubbish. Pack him off back to Spain.

He looked silly. Don't think AW will say anything to the players....g88ner wrote:Yeah, I thought he made Mertesacker look a little silly really1989 wrote:If Drogba was blindfolded and had his hands tied behind his back he would still score against us for fucks sake.![]()

Re: Galatasaray thread
All in all, not the greatest Emirates cup for us
Biggest signing on display was Higuain for Napoli and Sanogo for us
Lost one, drew 1. Finishing 3rd overall.
Conceded 4 goals.
Only scored from crosses - 2 from set pieces and 1 cross-come-shot from Theo. So didn't really look a threat in open play.
Boo's from the home crowd
And, icing on the cake.... we end up as Drogba's bitch YET AGAIN

Re: Galatasaray thread
Hope Suarez didn't watch that second half, he'd surely have second thoughts.

did you see attitude after the game....it tells us all about our team...amateurs are we..
Re: Galatasaray thread
In fairness, he's 5th choice left back (behind Gibbs, Monreal, Vermaelen & Sagna) and 5th choice centre back (behind Kos, Mert, Vermaelen and Sagna) + I expect us to sign another centre back in the coming weeks, so I think Miquel is the least of our worries to be honest.1989 wrote:What about MiquelAbsolute rubbish.
