SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This guy is an aggressive ball-winner and a workhorse. He's also a good passer and has the typical South American temper apparently. 8)

I like that Wenger is going for temperamental passionate motherfuckers in Suarez and now this guy. :D

Check this vid out of him:

Hope he makes it. :barscarf:

wow he ACTUALLY looks good, calm, composed, dare I say a touch of the fabregas about him??

And then when he plays for us, his legs will turn to glass, will turn out shite and then be awarded 60K a week for the next five years. Then after three years, he will be loaned out to Roma or someone until he can leave for free.

Fear no more people. Who needs Suarez when you have a Romanian striker available on a free transfer?

Wenger is actually taking it a step further this year. I think he believes he can win the league with a team full of free transfers and youth players. Sanogo and this lad up front together - that'll be our League Cup run over before its begun

This is what he always do. From his time at Monaco till now and the day he retire. Buy unknown, young or players who are unwanted at other clubs or have injury or health problem. Turn them into superstars and get praise from people. That's why I never believe that he really want to spend big. I believe he was forced to bid for Suarez.

Loic Remy: QPR striker set to join Newcastle on loan

Where does that leave us, SteveO? - Cisse, perhaps??  .... oh God, that actually seems plausible :(
Look for someone who scored between 10 and 15 goals in Ligue 1 last season and you'll find our next target. Never mind that his most recent raids into Ligue 1 for strikers have led him to the door of Chamakh, Gervinho, Park and Le Chapman, he'll be back there in a week or so swelling the coffers of a bunch of also rans like St Etienne or Lens.

One thing is for sure and that is Suarez isn't coming
Kalou scored 14 goals in last season's Ligue 1  Aliadiere got 15

There is another calm, composed South American midfielder we should go for but you've probably never heard of him before. His name is Legodinho. See this video:

Don't start McDowell off about Kalou !!

Just shows you the quality of that fucking shit league. Those two clowns couldn't hit a barn door over here and they're amongst the leading scorers over there. Our virtual signing Ibrahimovic seemed to manage a fair few more than that.

I actually wouldn't be at all surprised if Wenger did buy either Kalou or his old favourite Aliadiere. I can hear the words about how much he's matured as a player

I think wenger's been told to move out the deadwood first then we will buy big. Once gervinho n bendtner go that's another £100k pw spare on the payroll. With FFP coming into effect then it makes sense.
August30th is when we'll do our business...just a bit more patience.
