Just for fun and to try and lighten the mood on here due to The Arsenals inability to have a drama free summer.
So who has the biggest ego in football?
There's quite a few to choose from and no doubt many I have forgotten about. I’ll start with a few I have randomly chosen, not in any specific order we have John Terry, Alan Pardew, Christiano Ronaldo, Roman Abramovich, Harry Redknapp. I suppose Rooney and Fergie must be up there too and lets not forget Maradona, what about two of our own Wenger and Szczesny, or maybe Mark Hughes, Ruud Gullit or Adebayor.
Oh and not forgetting the entire 1990 German world cup winning team... What a bunch of arrogant egotistical they were, I'm not bitter.........
The list goes on and on but for me, there is one huge ego that towers over the rest. A certain Jose Mourinho gets my vote as footballs biggest ego... what say you?

Szczesny's cockiness is incredibly infuriating but small fry compared to the big boys.

If we're stacking up ego next to actual ability/achievements I would say that Good's gift to football Brendan Rodgers is right up there. The bloke can do no wrong in his eyes, happily piggybacks credit off others' great work but always makes sure everyone else knows when he's been hampered by predecessors and thinks he can swan around re-inventing total football with shit overpriced players.

When Stevie G scored a late winner at home to Portsmouth (or did Portsmouth get a later equaliser) he ran to the Kop, pushing away other players mouthing "It's down to me" ..
From an Irish point of view Jack Charlton's ego made the manager more important than the team. Journalists had to ask the correct questions, lavish the correct praise and be all round good sheep.
Super Nick from Denmark does not need to be told he is the World's greatest striker..He knows already.

Henry always came across as hugely arrogant and probably why I didn't take to him quite like I did to The Dennis or Wrighty. I know strikers in particular have to have a certain amount of arrogance and ego and self belief at the top level but whereas Wrighty had it in bundles there was a playful funny side to his ego too that we very rarely saw with Henry. Having said that, a mate met Henry and said he was the nicest bloke you could meet, very down to earth and polite.

As far as retarded levels of undeserved ego go, I don't think you can get much better an example than Joey Le Barton - an absolute plank that thinks he's a top player and, absolutely hilariously, an intellectual!!
