SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

They wont get shrek cos he wants to join his chav international team-mates (how I will laff when pikey terry is caught banging coleen  ) and any half decent available striker has transferred to new clubs whilst our administrators and management were on hols or "expanding our brand" ( ) in asia so as per normal, we snooze and we lose :x

Most of us never believed that wenker wanted to sign the cannibal but lets pretend for a minute that he did - we would like to think that the senile old c.unt knows that we need a striker (klingon gone, chamakh close to leaving and billy big bollox not wanted  ) and he knows that the fans are absolutely clamouring for top quality and high profile hence his attempts to sign a guy he normally wouldnt touch with a barge pole. Right now there isnt a single available striker out there that can fill both of those criteria so ladies and gentlemen please prepare yourself for at least 4 months of players like sonogo and worlds best danish striker (assuming he goes nowhere) playing key roles for our club so I hope that when things go tits up (and they will go tits up with that forward line  ) all you people, especially the wenker sheep, speak up and drive the old c.unt from our club for once and for all   :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:
I feel like I should not be moaning on only my second day on the Forum, but you are so right!

In my opinion, Suerez, Bernard, Higuin were all smokescreens for us not to spend any money in the transfer window!
It is now obvious that the Scousers will not be selling Suerez to Arsenal. John Henry has reinforced that this morning. Therefore, we should be looking at someone else right now! Does Wenger not realise that we are short in at least 3 positions? I am truly worried about this season.

We'll try and drag this Suarez thing out for a few more weeks - if we publicly accept defeat now Wenger will actually have to show signs of trying to sign another player before then.

We'll try and drag this Suarez thing out for a few more weeks - if we publicly accept defeat now Wenger will actually have to show signs of trying to sign another player before then, and the more players we're publicly interested in the more difficult it will be for him to suggest as always that it's the selling club and the market being unreasonable and not him.

Even the most pro Wenger supporter must be wondering what the fuck is going on at the moment, aren't they?

My feeling is that we will sign no-one, yes i'm serious, if Wenger can keep this Suarez delusion going for another week, we have a fairly (or what should be) benign start to the season, get through the champs league qualifier and win the first couple of games and he's a genius again.

I mean it doesn't even seem as if anyone is on the radar, forget the lad from Porto or Salvio from Benfica at these would cost over what our lord master deems a maximum (around £15m) the same would go for Fellaini seriously who else is there Cisse from Newcastle and while your about it Tiote ,at least we know if we wave enough money under his nose and Ashley will sell, both probably have release clauses anyway, Huntelaar probably wouldn't come now anyway, any other guesses?

Of course there is the inevitable injury crisis to come

Sunday 10th November we are at Old Trafford, what price Bendtner and Park up front :barscarf:

There's still weeks left of the transfer window. You aren't going to want to hear it of course but anything is still possible. I'm not happy we've not signed anyone yet but I know that we will. Despite people acting like we never buy players - we do practically every transfer window! People just mix actual facts with their emotions. Whether you rated the players or not, the fact is we do always sign them....

Sadly, they are not. They are saying things like 'Wait until the end of the transfer window' and 'I am still very confident that Wenger has a plan and is just waiting for prices to come down...', etc. etc.

As the window slows comes to a close and we end up with more deadwood - the Ligue 2 Moroccan and the cast away that couldn't crack Schalke's mighty team, they will say, 'Wait until the end of the season' and 'No point booing now, get behind the team', etc. etc. and then recycle for next year.

I am starting to be more and more convinced that there is a larger majority of Wengerites who do not pay money to go to the bowl.

So as things stand, we are currently somewhere around 28m better off this year with fees and wages saved on players gone. That means we could have signed Higuain for around a 7m outlay!!
I think the Suarez bid was semi-serious, I don't think they thought they would get him for 40m but if there had been a clause they would have paid 40m because clearing the decks was all about raising money to allow some to be spent, it's how Wanger operates. Arsenal will NOT just spend money out of the pot, it has to be replenished or built up first.

Wanger will now look at cheap options from France to bid late on, making offers that small French clubs will not turn down, even at the end of the transfer window. I expect a bid to be made for one of the following.....

Dario CVITANICH - (third top scorer in the league last season, plays for Nice)

Wissam BEN YEDDER - Young Tunisian (fits the bill perfectly, African but plays for France U-21's) scored 15 goals last season for Toulouse

Jeremie ALIADIERE - Yup, you read it right, he scored 15 times for Lorient last season.....it could happen

or quite possibly one of the other current France U-21 internationals

Rémy Cabella (age 23) plays for Montpellier, attacking midfielder/striker, obviously knows Giroud.....

Alexandre Lacazette (age 22) plays for Lyon, perfect fit again, only 5ft 9 so meets Wangers 'midget' requirement

Henri Saivet (age 22) plays for Bordeaux, born in Senegal but plays for France, perfect fit again not only for his nationality/roots but because he is a winger/striker so will appeal to Wanger for his 'utility' player requirements

Joh Henry is only saying what we say and have been saying for the past few years when our players are being bid after. Amazes me how people think he's actually telling the truth. Of course Suarez is going to be sold, they just want a higher price.

This smokescreen nonsense is just that. Clubs, and especially Arsenal, do not bid 40 million as a smokescreen. Get over that fact and move on. It isn't some massive conspiracy and most of you sound a bit mad saying it. Football clubs do not work that way. If it was a smokescreen, why two bids? And why the pound which was clearly to activate a release clause they were obviously told was there.

By all means bash Wenger and Gazidas on not being good in the market, I do and will continue to, but no football club has 40 million smokescreens.

I don't remember too many people moaning last summer after we signed Giroud, Podolski and Cazorla.

Has to be noted that even arseblog is questioning wenger and the club at the mo and I would class him as very pro both and he has, in my opinion anyway, frequently stuck his head in the sand in recent seasons :o
