The bloke is fucking shite. 2.8m is daylight robbery and we should thank Sunderland for their desperationnorthbank123 wrote:Yeah I remember that, start of 09/10 season. Unfortunately we then stuck faith with Mannone for too long until he pushed a free-kick straight out to a striker at 2-0 up at West Ham and we threw away 2 points.highburyJD wrote:I remember Mannone having an excellent game at Craven Cottage, we nicked a 1-0

Re: and finally he went away
even on his one great day at the Cottage nothing stuck and most rebounding shots are into the area
he's a shot blocker not a shot catcher
would still cast him straight away as a 50s mafia hit man

Mannone does look like a Young Luca Brasi
We haven’t had a dependable Goal Keeper since Seaman and he should have been outed in 2001 .
Jens had a great 2005/6 season as he played for his place in the national side for the World Cup but was erratic at best .
We await the next Wilson,Rimmer,Jennings,Seaman with real fan patience !

Pravda:
Gervinho has joined Italian Serie A side AS Roma for an undisclosed fee.
After joining Arsenal from French club Lille in the summer of 2011, the Ivory Coast international went on to score four times in his first season with the Club, making an important contribution as the Gunners finished third to secure Champions League football.
Finally, good riddance to more dross,
Bendy, and Park left to go

Well at least the useless spam head actually left and didn't run down his contract and sit on the bench collecting his lolly.

and Miquel out on loan too.
So Squillaci, Santos, Gervinho, Denilson, Djourou, Gervinho, Arshavin gone
must be a substantially reduced wagebill. Hopefully Bendtner and Chamakh also off it soon...
In 'finally he went away' terms, this summer has been a big player cutting success

Chamakh is a Palace player. Will be confirmed soon.
Only Park (will have his contract terminated) and the world's best striker left now.

Re: and finally he went away
Glad we've got rid of so much of the shit on the wage bill but with last season's new deals for Jenkinson, Ox, Wilshere, Walcott, Gibbs and Ramsey - combined with many of those players being out on loan anyway and a few pay-offs - I'd be very surprised if our wage bill actually came down between financial years.highburyJD wrote:and Miquel out on loan too.

we have to wait for another year to see the impact of the reduced wage bill...but we have 10 mill for all together for forehead and godfather.....maybe we can see some details next time we see some figures in our annual results
Re: and finally he went away
Can't believe we got £8m for Gervais Yao Kouassi
