I did McDowell but after I checked GeoffArsenal's page and saw he was only willing to retweet others and not put his personal endorsement on the rumour naturally I became suspicious.mcdowell42 wrote:Give credibility, did u not read the bit about it being on twitter.northbank123 wrote:Not for a second wishing to give credibility to that sort of rumour but Gustavo has to be a reasonable shout? My abiding memory of him is for breaking Darren Fletcher's world record for number of times you can kick people without being booked in the Champions League semi-final second leg against Madrid last year.
Bayern have about 12 good midfielders so even greedy Pep has to let one or two go and from what I've seen he seems like he might shake things up in the middle a bit. (Hypothetical) thoughts?
On the other hand I've long made it clear that letting Diarra go was one of Wenger's most underrated mistakes, and although he seems a bit of a prick again he seems like the sort of player that we need and at 28 won't exactly be angling for a big move away at every opportunity.

As far Eto'o he's probably better than what we're actually going to get (if anyone) but the bloke is a shadow of the player he was.
Add to this he's the world's highest-earning player on a reported £350k a week, get real.

Eto,seriously some of you guys need to have a day off.5/6 years back would have taken him,hes over 30 and on huge money @ tht russian crowd could you see him wanting to drop his 300k a week salary,he lost all credibility when he signed for them, like any player who went and joined them they did so for the money.Jesus guys whinge on here for signing over 30s and would now like us to take a guy who is on a massive salary.

I've seen it all now... Eto....
Who's next, take Henry back yet again...

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
The Eto'o suggestion is quite ludicrous I agree. He's old, on mental wages and past his best.

I can understand that but would it not be the same for every foreign player that signs for a russian or ukranian team ? We sure as hell know that they aint going there for the quality of football, the lifestyle or indeed the weather.
Listen I know that eto's best days are behind him and I certainly wouldnt be reaching for the box of tissue's if we sign him (unlike some eh jd
