SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Flamini, 29, is a free agent and keeping fit at Arsenal :rubchin:

Could we...? should we...? will we...? :o
We are one injury crisis away from resigning him. DM and can cover at both full-back positions.

El Shaarawy is the go - already excellent, young, pace, positioning, an engine, good close finisher, can hit a rocket from 25 yards, can cut in and shoot - he's got it all in my view. Get him and a great CB (assuming the DM thing is actually happening) and i'd be happy (and we can avoid the Suarez circus.

Just a little reminder....... On midnight 2nd/3rd of September when we havent signed Suarez for £40,000,001 (pisstake amount) and might have signed a shit French/African player lets keep a lid on the hate. Wenger is Wenger things will never change while he is at the club so get used to it and don't get this place shut down :barscarf: .......

Special mentions to augie, onebard and Sid

I'm keeping myself adequately sedated for the remainder of the transfer window. I don't even want to think about next Saturday let alone the season ahead, it fills me with absolute dread. Aren't we supposed to enjoy football? Isn't that the whole point of it? Why then can I see myself having some sort of mild breakdown around mid-November and a full scale meltdown if Le Turnip signs a contract extension before the season end?

Oh woe is me.

That's two meltdowns on Rodders' horizon then. :(
