SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Players in: Yaya Sanogo (Auxerre) Free.
You forgot these teenagers on frees:

Dan Crowley
Jamal Raage
Julio Pleguezuelo.
No doubt they'll follow in the footsteps of the mighty Mark Randall, Abu Ogogo & Gavin Hoyte

Those sources have such little credibility that they just announce deals that clearly haven't been agreed and make up a fee to go with it.

If they're wrong - doesn't matter as they have no credibility anyway, gullible fans will have forgotten about it by the time they next link a player with their club and they can always make up a convenient story to explain things away (e.g. Madrid reneging on an agreed price for Higuain  )

On the chance that it comes to fruition - they can celebrate a massive 'scoop', dine out off it for months/years and who cares about the fee being off if it's in the same ballpark?

In an unrelated "scoop" - Lord Lucan told the ghost of Mother Theresa to tell me to tell you we have agreed a deal for................ Kalou

If this summer has thought me anything its that nothing is a done deal until it is announced as a done deal. Gustavo looks like one of the three or four players we need to compete but I can see this one getting taken away from us aswell and at this stage I just try to imagine its not happening until it does to avoid frustration. I will still be really annoyed if it doesn't though.

Luis Suarez

Or maybe there are developments? South American media are reporting that the Gunners have made a £49.8m offer for Luis Suarez. Watch this space

But then lies another problem Wolfsburg or Arsenal should be a no brainer unless the player has no ambition .
For Luiz Gustavo
http://www.transfermarkt.de/en/luiz-gus ... 10471.html
who founds himself not even sitting on the bench after winning three titles with Bayern and one with the Brazil national team last season it must be very strange. I guess his decision will be made in the following order:
-Playing time and national coverage, because he wants to play regular to make it into the Brazil starting squad for the WC2014
-Chance of playing international
-Money
Don't underestimate Wolfsburg on the money issue, with VW in the back.

Cheers,
Thomas

Not talking about Wolfsburg on the money issue as you said I am sure they are fine but Arsenal with there name alone should be able to beat the likes of Wolfsburg

Bullshit rumour - why would any club bid 40m (+ 1 pound) and then when it is rejected come back with a bid 10m more ? Surely a bid would increase by no more than 5m at a time ? :?

like I said, Gustavo needs and wants to play to show that he is ready for the home WC 2014 so that will be something he will focus at during transfer talks I'm pretty sure about that, otherwise he could have stayed at Bayern

agree with Augs - we need the clause to stick (or Suarez to go on strike)
L Gustavo is moving for CL football, only way he will start in Brazil
