SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

he is world class...don't rate him as 3rd choice..if so it is at a club who is the best in the world at the moment....

Camel gone

But on a serious note with Bender gone once he finds a club big enough for his wallet our squad is getting thinner and thinner is something going on with no big transfers going out for once are they doing it another way by getting rid of players and not replacing them saving near enough 30 mill very worrying

got four players on trial....latest one........... Flamini running around at Colney...2-3 of them , if they are worth something, would be appreciated....... latest on a Cameroonian midfielder becomes arsenals fourth summer-trialist.....but yes, we look thinner and thinner...but 20 days yet to do some business

We need creativity and solidity in midfield. I like Lallana and Schneiderlin at Southampton.
Wonder how much they'd cost...

Typical, we can't seem to finalise a deal for anyone this summer

On a sidenote, I hated that fucking Graham Kelly

That's a bit harsh.

Barcelona sold Yaya Toure because Busquets was preferred in the DM position. And look how good Yaya Toure has turned out for Man City. Interestingly it was Guardiola who let him go, he is now doing the same with Gustavo.

Even Cesc, whose class no one doubts, is not a a first-choice midfielder in Barcelona. Thiago who joined Bayern for €25m and our former DM Song weren't first-choice for Barcelona last season either.

And remember Lassana Diarra for us? He was a pretty good player but he couldn't get ahead of Flamini so he wanted to leave.

The fact is some big clubs have very good players on the bench.

Also I'm note sure anyone thinks Gustavo is a "marquee signing." He's just a DM we need. A marquee signing would be a top striker.

Poor Chamakh looks confused. He probably thinks he's signed for Barcelona (a la Robinho)

And nice to see him wearing a bra. Unlike his mate Samira Nasri, he's openly lesbian

Maradonna agreed a deal with us, but the Falklands War came along and ended the deal.

That kid is hilarious!
